In all honesty, the way Hatton has now been destroyed by the two top dogs he's faced, can only bring to my mind that maybe he was ranked a bit too high on the p4p list to begin with. Top 10? I don't think he ever belonged there. Top 20? That would've been fine.

Surely you can say that about many fighters in hindsight though, Jermain Taylor, Christian Mijares, Margarito, Pavlik, Antonio Tarver, etc.

Hatton definitely deserved his p4p status imo. he defeated Kosta Tszyu and became the undisputed king of light welter. Obviously he drops out now but you can't say he didn't deserve to be there any more than you can say Rafael Marquez never deserved to be there becuase he's lost his last two, or Diego Coralles.
