Gotta totally agree with you Miles, I've never found myself shouting so much at a boxer form the opening bell, his decisions, head movement, choice of punches, was just totally bizarre.

I can only think it might have something to do with the apparent rift with Floyd Snr, cos' I saw no visible gameplan at all. It's almost like his mind was on something completey different.

Well done to Pacquiao though, looked sharp, strong and totally outclassed a boxer who just doesn't seem to be able to cut it with the big big dogs.

That was a great display of controlled mayhem Pacquiao put on Ricky....similiar to a pin point fencer using a two machetes. They should of never tried to restructure Hatton at this stage between new found boxer and tried & true pressure fighter.....Altough I honestly dont think it would have mattered in the end.....Coming in I just feel Mayweather may have been as much a distraction as a plus all things considered. Its too late in the game and too high a level and you could literally see Hatton stuck in between styles, once he was nailed and jolted he was visibly over thinking things.Pacquiao was just too fast, too crisp, and what accuracy...hell of a finisher and just devastating last night.A very impressive game plan and execution of skills.

Hatton should hold his head up.He did everything he could at the highest of levels and has never pretended to be boxing beautiful, but a hard charger who went all out, heart on sleeve.A free spirited, charismatic guy who gave the sport a shot in the arm frankly. He has nothing to be ashamed off! One thing Id say as it happens often after a huge fight, when some detract, dismiss the fallens merits and past accomplishments, you equally diminish your favorite guy,You just cannot have it both ways!

I had predicted Pacquiao would have control of the fight by the 5th and take Ricky out by the 7th or 8th round once Ricky reverted his style but it was over before much of anything.

Wow! did ever under estimated Pacquiao's speed.... and it looked like that is exactly what happened to Ricky. He obviously didn't respect Pacquiao's power at all. I knew Ricky would just revert to the style of fighting that got him to the top of the 140 class but I at least, I would have expected him to try the jab and follow a game plan. I guess he felt he needed to smother Pacquiao to nullify his speed and be in the inside. It was as if Ricky wanted to intimidate Pacquiao with his strength... at least that's what it felt like Ricky was trying to do but I guess Pacquiao was ready and too fast for that.

It also looks like Ricky won't have to drop Mayweather Sr. as a trainer, I serious doubt he will stick around with Ricky even if Ricky wants him to. There is too much "I" in Mayweather for that even to be the question. Mayweather Sr. needs to retire from boxing all together.

The only question I have for Ricky, is he has anything left for him to pursue at this point?

    I'm Canadian-Filipino and here's

My observation's on last night's fight: (BTW I'm a Pacman fan but I don't bias.)

1.) Hatton charging in w/ Chin UP and hands DOWN. Maybe he got mixed up w/ the directions?

2.) Hatton landing some decent shots that gave Manny PAUSE sometimes and THAT's something to be proud of Brits! I honestly thought that if Hatton could connect with 3-4 shots, that he'd have a chance of knocking Manny down.

3.) Hatton launching his usual barrage of punches, regardless of accuracy. EDIT: Kenny Bayless separating both fighters constantly. (This, as some ppl here predicted, is a bit of a factor in the fight; but it still wouldn't have affected the winner of the bout...Hatton might've just be able to reach the end of the fight.)

4.) Pacquiao, obviously more >>READY<< than Hatton, KNOWING when Hatton's vulnerable and WAITING for his arms to drop as he KNEW they will.

5.) Hatton looking very well for a guy knocked down twice in the 1st.

6.) SOLID, FLUSH, WOUND UP shot that would've rocked a guy 30 lbs. over Hatton. (That punch looked like Little Mac's START button uppercut...except Southpaw)

Conclusion: Hatton could've lasted longer and could've had the chance to knock Manny down/out but was definitely not PREPARED for the fight. This is clearly shown by how Manny almost telepathically predicts Hatton's next punch/move. Floyd Mayweather Sr. should've prepared his fighter better.

Well, kudos to Manny and I hope you Brit fans hang on because I don't think you'll see the last of Hatton. It was a bad KO BUT IMHO I think Hatton had a really bad or at least, overconfident (to put it mildly,) trainer.

    Next fight for

Pacquiao - Floyd Mayweather Jr. (Who else is left?) - IF Floyd survives JMMarquez which is a BIG IF. People underestimate that guy but that guy is Slick and is a real badass that has a heart of a Lion like Manny.

Hatton - OSCAR DE LA HOYA - Gonna be an awesome fight if ODLH can drop down to 147 or more OR tune-up w/ a better trainer (like ROACH) and get a belt or two THEN fight ODLH. By that time he should be well recovered and Ready.
