Although Kelly Pavlik is the WBC middleweight champion, and his last defense was against Marco Rubio, the WBC's own mandatory challenger, the WBC has inexplicably created an interim middleweight title which will up for grabs (for a small fee) in the Sebastian Zbik vs Domenico Spada July 11 fight.

Is there an organizing body that is any good? I don't think there is we might as well stop trying or stop caring. Good thing is I think with all the online rankings I really don't think anyone takes the belts seriously. I wouldn't have even been able to tell you that Pavlik had the WBC belt. Don't know what belt (if any) Pacquiao has, don't really care so it doesn't matter much.

I understand your point, but there are a lot of boxing fans who still follow the alphabet titles, so I think it is important to report their abuses of power.

but you know that kelly pavlik and manny pacquiao are champions in their divisions the ring magazine belt is the only credible championship around and looks the best too in this gals view

I don't even understand why there's a need for Interim Champion.

If in case the champion vacates the belt, i think it's the best time to have it declared vacant and up for grabs, instead having someone praying at the champions back that he die soon
