If Marquez wins, there will be no PAC-PBF, simply because the match wouldn't be appealing anymoreBy the way I'll be rooting for JMM on this one.

RIP, Crazy Samurai. Thank you for your Drumming.

I think PBF wins a yawner. I think he does everything possible not to really engage with JMM just box and move ad nauseum on the way to an uneventful decision.

True but still the Judah fight was exciting and really the last Mayweather fight I did enjoy. Well Ricky getting ping-ponged off th ring post was funny but I'll leave that one alone at this time
Anyways, if you haven't seen his fights withEmmanuel Augustus you should watch it. I thought it was great; or Manfredy or Corrales and Chavez; good fights. Anything is exciting next to the Baldomir fight![]()

I think your right Boom.A fight to make Mayweather look good, but also to tie him into and leading up to a Pacquiao fight.I honestly think he is a tad envious of Mannys major attraction and standing on his pedestal as far as p4p.
I just dont see Marquez as the counter punching mechanic he was just a few years back.He if fighting much more aggressively taking more damage with the years and weight, but reaping the rewards on guile, experience and tenacity. No way in hell will he back down or lay down for Mayweather, but I can see him taking shots that wont necessarily hurt him but pizz him off and drive him forward. He will punch straighter and more often than many Mayweather has faced as of late, but Floyd will capitalize big time on those counters...and then back/slide off. Then again, maybe Floyd will get tagged and get pizzed, engage an adversary and not get that 'oh my god' grimace face on his mug as he backs to ropes, glove glued to face, for once.Doubt it.

I consider this fight as a tune-up fight for PBF mainly due to fact that it's PBF's 1st fight after a year and a half in retirement, PBF will be the heavy favorite and PBF has all the advantages in this fight... PBF is expected to win this one...
Some intangibles tho goes to JMM like heart and fighting spirit...

Just when I think your starting to become a bit more neutral and more of a fan of the sport itself and not just Pac or PI boxers you post this.
Any little way to take a stab at JMM and downgrade him from his stature.
Pac is #1 P4P and until he is beaten he will remain #1 isn't that enough now for Pac fans to be at ease and just move on and be a bit more neutral?
You would think right, but no. The initials JMM, or the name Marquez is such a big threat that any opp. to belittle him and push him away from Pacs P4P place is taken and pushed to the fullest.
JMM a tune up fight.
So in turn you are saying that if Pac faces SSM or Cotto they will be tune up fights for Pac?
Boxer (cause you really don't deserve to be called the 1st part of your name) you have for now fallen back into my troll list.
These things don't make a fight a tune up fight.
Curious to know where you got this info. from or could you go deeper into this as I would like to understand your brilliant boxing knowledge in regards to Tune Up fights.
I'm all earswhenever you are ready.
(You don't have to answer right away, you can think it through and if needed take a day or so to work out a reply)
I clearly stated why I consider this a tune-up fight... It maybe weird having the no. 2 P4P boxer as a tune-up fight but that's my opinion for this fight...
- 1st fight after a long layoff is usually considered a tune-up fight...
- PBF open up as a solid -380 favorite, it's almost a 4 to 1 favorite. You are a heavy favorite in your tune-up fight...
- I consider PBF having all the advantages, does JMM has any advantage? You choose your tune-up opponent where you have all the advantages and expected to win your tune-up fight...
Regarding PAC facing SSM or Cotto, I didn't say anything that it will be a tune-up... One thing is sure tho, PAC will always have at least 1 advantage over these boxers...

I consider Tyson: McNeely a tune up fight.
I consider Hatton: Lazcano a tune up fight.
I consider Cotto: Jennings a tune up fight.
Like Mick is saying, this is a little bit more than a tune up fight. PBF is playing all the cards in terms of making sure he has the advantages, but fighting JMM is no mere tune up.
Marquez has his back to the wall in this, but I really hope he manages to shock the world. I'm not making any predictions though because Bilbo says I'm the new Teddy Atlas, so I will stay away from that...![]()
It's my principle not to totally write off a boxer... I've given Hatton 1% chance to defeat PAC when the odds of that fight was almost 3 to 1 in favor of PAC...
PBF is enjoying an almost 4 to 1 favorite status and I give JMM 1% chance of winning...
I don't think JMM can outsmart, overpower, or outbox PBF... They're similar in style that mainly focuses on counterpunching... PBF is a faster, bigger and better version of JMM...
It's a tune-up fight for me... but who knows, there were upsets that happened in tune-up fights...
