Pac wins by KO. PBF never encounter someone like Pac before. Pac is a sharp shooter and he will eventualy catch Floyd with a perfect punch.

I think people need to reacquainted with Mayweather speed, watch the counter right hand he throws against Hatton in the 8th round at 2:38ish or 2:30ish mark. He's going backwards then it comes forward like a blur, he's as fast as anyone, he feints a lot and tries to put more power behind his shots so they aren't always as quick as they could be, but watch his handspeed against guys like Gatti and that handspeed is still there he just doesn't usually have the oppertunity to throw punches comfortably against bigger guys who constantly have him on his back foot.
People are bringing up what Judah did to Mayweather, but even though I agree Manny being a southpaw will bring Mayweather a ton of trouble, remember that Judah is a pure counter puncher and in the first four rounds Mayweather was coming straight forward asking to be counter punched by a guy who matched his speed. Manny has become good at throwing off his heels, but he doesn't have the counter punching technique of Judah, and I wonder how he would deal wtih Mayweather coming forward and putting pressure on him like he did against Judah.
Great fighters pose a problem? Like who? Southpaws just take a bit for him to figure out. He dominated Judah after the first 4 rounds.
Again, like who? As far as I've seen (and Ive watched 37 of his fights, all but Bruseles and Hernandez) he has absolutely no problem with swarmers. Having a very similar style to Floyd, I too find no problems with swarmers. While he has great defensive skill due to excellent body control but gets caught when covering against swarmers.
Mayweather does have to reach but he did learn to avoid Judah's countering right. I doubt he would use right hand leads against Pacquiao. He was open when he used the right hand lead to the right hook from Judah.(He has to reach) Judah has less precision and has less power than Pacquiao.
Actually, I predict a KO in round 11. PAC's in-and-out movement will backfire. Though busy at first Mayweather will intercept magnifying the power hurting Pacquiao more. Pacquiao will slow down. Go watch the first minute against Hatton: he was slowing down a whole lot until he found a whole in the ever-reckless Hatton and capitilized turning it around.Hatton and De la hoya have less offense than Pacquiao. Because Mayweather's heavy reliance on the counter and heavy reliance on using accurate punches to win fights on points Mayweather Jr. has got no chance to pull of a win against Pacquaio on points.
Both are equally fast, and in the Philly Shell (as I can personally relate) nothing is too fast. He can lay back on the ropes all day and not get hit by anyone's punches. He probably wouldn't do it though because he is too smart. He knows that deep down Pacquiao has an instinct to chase. If he runs PAC will chase and reach as did Hatton. He will pick and counter end of story.Mayweather can't stand toe to toe against Pacquiao because Pac is too fast and Mayweather wouldn't do it anyway.
Exactly why Mayweather will beat him. There is no secret to Pacquiao, he works hard and comes into the fight prepared. He does a lot of basic manuvers the same as everyone else is taught in the Gym. He just does it really very well and fast.
This shows me how little you know of PBF. The guy puts on this lazy, trash-talking, takes-noone-serious, bad-guy act but he isnt that. Mayweather trains like someone one the verge of mad. He wakes up at 3AM sometimes and runs 10 miles just because he feels like it. I can tell you Manny is no way more determined a fighter than Floyd is.Mayweather has to big a head to come into the fight as well prepared as Pacquiao.
He has pretended lack of respect ever since Arturo Gatti (whom he massacred). He never underestimates noone. He trains mad for everyone, everyone. Look, he has called all his opponents bums, has-beens, whatever but on fight night you could definately see he didnt train like he though that. Dont get fooled by the act.If he gets his head straight in preparing for a fight with Pacquiao, he has a chance but he will underestimate Pacquiao speed, same as everyone, and his lack of respect will be his downfall.
Pac by KO. Roach is genius! He'll pin point Floyd weaknesses. And Pac will follow every espicific instruction (unlike Oscar).
agreed, Pacquiao has foughten:
Morales - who beat him in the first fight via counterpunching. In the second fight, Morales became more reckless and stood toe-to-toe giving only a draw. In the last fight, Morales (ridiculously) stood toe-to-toe and traded ending up getting KO'd.
Marquez - not nearly as fast as PBF, who is smart but nowhere near as smart as PBF and as many thought beat PAC
Oscar - weight-drained something feirce and old. Like Roach said, he just couldn't pull the trigger, it wasnt like PAC was extraordinary it was just that DLH didnt have it anymore.
Hatton - a guy that charges in hands at chest level with no attempt at head movement
now... Mayweather - a guy faster than anyone Pacquiao has fought, a guy more scientific than anyone PAC has fought, a guy better at counterpunching than anyone PAC has fought, and last but not least a guy that is better at exploiting PAC's weakness (chasing/reaching after running opponents) thatn anyone PAC has fought before.
Roach is a genius? Maybe, but there is nothing to find with Mayweather exept trying to look busier and not getting countered. Pac follows every instruction because he has fought only guys that charge into him (something he likes). But what happens when Mayweather is running? PAC cant resist (we all know this) and PBF will turn back and counter. Its easy to listen when your opponents do exactly as you like them doing. But its hard when your foe's style is exactly what you hate. PAC beats everyone who charges into him. Mayweather wont but play on his tendancy to chase and reach, just watch.
I think people are going a little overboard on both sides, this has all the makings to be a close, tough fought fight. Both of them fight at an incredibly high level, both have their weaknesses that seem to work perfectly for the other fighter, both are the same speed, while one throws combinations faster, the other gets off faster and is harder to hit. Both have insane cardio and could go hard for 24 rounds if they needed to.
A lot of people expect Mayweather to run and counter punch, but I think he comes forward with his hands held high, thats how he likes to fight southpaws, and unlike Oscar or Hatton he is still really hard to hit, especially if you start throwing combinations, because he is still really light on his feet and has those amazing reflexes. Like I said Manny is so much a pure counter puncher as much as he catches you while he is going backwards. Hatton is easy for anyone with speed to counter, Paulie was albe to do it when he threw his right hand, Collazo did it all night, as did Mayweather. If you have the speed to react to Hatton he is wide open for the counter. Against Oscar, Manny didn't counter as much as move away and attack when Oscar was chasing. I personally consider counter punching when you slip a punch and connect solidly ala Roy JOnes Jr. Judah has as good of countering skills as anyone when he is a) sharp and b) throwing punches. I could see Mayweather coming forward and not giving Pacquiao the oppertunity to get off punches. LIkewise I can see Pacquiao throwing 10 punches where Judah woudln't throw anything and force Mayweather to be defensive and win on aggression and output.
I voted for Mayweather. Pacquiao needs to slow his roll.
Some people reason that Manny beat Hatton faster than Mayweather did, which means Pac-Man could handle Floyd. My cousin is spewing that bile everytime we talk about last Saturday.
Mayweather is cautious. The last thing he wants his to get punched in the face. Hatton and Pacquiao are both wrecking balls. It makes a difference, friends.
Besides the fact that Hatton and Pac-Man went it at like bulldogs, it wasn't that long ago that Hatton fell face first into the ringpost on his way to the canvas. I believe that if Hatton had fought Pacin 07 instead of Pretty Boy he would have faired much better and may have won it outright.
I think its crazy to just automatically put Mayweather past JMM, but lets say he does beat him. I said it before the De La Hoya fight and before the Hatton fight and thats that Pacquiao is the best in the world. Not only does he win but he puts butts on the canvas! Yea Floyds undefeated this and that but he's never beat Pacman, and I dont believe he can. Manny's more active, throws combinations "Faster" yes I said faster, and can take any punch mayweather can throw! Good fight yes, but Pacquiao is unstopable right now!
I can't make a prediction until I see Floyd against Marquez.
But it does seem that everyone is split and very extreme. It's either Manny will knock Floyd out or Floyd will give Manny a boxing lesson. I think this fight is going to be legendary! Not in the sense of action but in the sense of two styles mixing in a tactical fight. It would be a showcase of epic proportions!
-The world's best offense VS The world's best defense
-Current P4P champ VS Former P4P champ
-Will VS Skill
-Humble VS Flashy
-Speed VS Speed / Power VS Tactics
-Southpaw VS Orthodox
-This eras two best fighters: Manny Pacquiao VS Floyd Mayweather Jr.
All-in-all, this will be a fight that neither of the two fighters have met opponents like each other.
(I feel like I just promoted this fight)

That's a good point and C-Lo puts it well too. I really am racking my brains over this one.
Comparing their Hatton fights both guys countered him well as he was coming in, but Pac did it way more often as PBF would allow Hatton to come close enough to hold a high p[ercentage of the time. This could be down to speed, or also down to Pac's aggressive tendencies (responding to fire with immediate fire) and Mayweather's more cautious approach.
One thing's for sure is that if Pac's strategy is to blindly attack then he's fucked. But if he comes in smart while incorporating double jabs and feints AND maintaining a high output to keep Floyd busy, then I think his punches are just compact enough to through and maybe get the decision.
