I think he will definately have a swansong at Eastlands or Wembley.

Knowing Rickys "lad next door" persona he'll be gutted for the fans who travelled and witnessed that in Vegas and will want to repay them on home soil as a farewell fight and way of appolagy.

He needs to that was shocking

So is this guy suggesting Ricky should retire? Must be a genius.. only 95% of the world share that view.

Although I think he should quit we need to ask ourselves this.

If it was you and you had just had a humiliatingly brutal beating like that would you want that to be the last memory people had of you in the ring ?

If that was me there would be no way I could possibly leave on that note.

Whereas before Saturday we assumed Hatton would whoop Khan easily now we are not so sure. But Hatton will see it as winnable and a victory in the biggest domestic fight we have ever seen would be a good way to go out - if Khan holds the belt of course.

Katsidis doesn't sell in my book, non fight fans don't know him.

Can't believe I am going to have my fingers crossed that Khan wins on 27th June....

I still hope Khan will lose TBH , but if he was to win I wouldn't mind seeing Hatton beat him down afterwards....that's if Hatton decides he's still got enough. I would really hate for him to lose to Khan though. There would be nothing worse than a farewell gone wrong. Still seething a bit about the Barrera fight!

don't think it makes a difference mate... this will be with Ricky for life now, i think he'll be remembered for this pac fight, maybe ducking Witter. and the KT fight will come into play.

doubt beating Khan will even be remembered if it happens.

think about it... take Naz he's mainly remembered now for losing to Barrera... avoiding JMM and maybe the kelly fight USA fans or Robinson fight UK fans.

no one mentions he left on a win over Calvo.

sorry i seem to use Naz as a comparison with Hatton alot but there Career is almost a mirror image IMO.

Aye but Naz didn't lose in such devastating fashion though. What I tend to remember more than anything is the fact he bottled it and walked away without attempting to get back - he did have a rematch clause with MAB didn't he ??

I agree he won't be able to wipe that memory of the Pac defeat away but maybe a showpiece at a sellout Wembley will sweeten it for him a little - if he can stop Khan and not just squeak a points win.

I guess we can never fault Hatton for wanting to go in with the best.

Thinking about it if it's to be a stadium fight it can't take place any later than early October ??

When you've had your button pushed a couple of times the button is looser couple of elite fighters have sparked him ,he doesnt want a not so elite one doing the same.

Calvo was a complete nobody - that's why most people forget Naz even had that fight.

Khan-Hatton will still be massive in this country. If Ricky won it would definitely help erase the losses to Pac and Mayweather amongst the non-hardcore fan.

Problem is, what if Khan beats him? That will badly tarnish his standing in boxing. MOST will remember him as a guy that LOST every major fight.

(I'll mainly remember him for shamelessly ducking Witter too )
