So there could be truth to some claims that Hatton is a hype job of Promoter Frank Warren...

Hatton isn't a hype job. He attracts a shed load of fans but that's a different thing all together.

Not heard anybody saying he's the 2nd coming. He was protected up to a degree until he fought Tszyu. After that he's took on challenge after challenge and has wins over Tszyu, Collazo, Malignaggi, Urango, Maussa (ok he's poor), Castillo and Lazcano.

All have been world champions apart from Lazcano. He's only lost to the number 1 p4p fighter in the world (both occassions) and he's beaten two top 10-12....depending on where you had Castillo when they fought.

If that makes you a hype job then 95% of fighters in general are hype jobs.

Cooney? He was hyped for having big power because he had big power. He KTFO of Ken Norton and Ron Lyle, both in the first round. That deserves some notice, his power was not hype. He even wobbled Foreman in that first round before he got clocked.
