I think Dawson needs the eyes of the world on him. Let's face it Joe Calzaghe often looked similarly disinterested in guys who he'd fight simply because he could afford to. I think the difference is that Dawson is doing it against guys who he can't simply knock out once he's bored of them & will actually take rounds off him whilst its happening. I think a fight against Kessler or Froch would be the one.

Considering BHop is low on options and he might take this fight under the right conditions how do yall see it playing out? I think there are plenty of holes for Bhop to expose but Dawson might be able to set a pace that Bernard has a hard time sustaining. Might end up looking similar to the Taylor fights.

I went into it believing Dawson could only take a step backwards.Dawson did what he had too for win but looked to comfortable/content,he gave Tarver time when he pressed him to the corners and sort of fell in to a vetrans tricks.I just didn't see alot of stepping up the pressure when it looked to be there and I dont know if it can be clicked on like a light switch as much as needed if he gets in deep and late rounds with far superior cagey vet in Hopkins. He again looked a bit winded in spots late.Think Hopkins beats him right now.

I watched the fight, and I must say that Tarver looked pretty good for a 40 year old veteran. I don't think Dawson would do well against Hopkins though. I am curious to see what BCD's next fight is going to be.

I think BHop is better off retired. I'm not all that impressed with Dawson but his handspeed would give Hopkins difficulties. Hopkins hasn't fought a proper LHW in a long time now and I think Dawson would outwork him.

Hopkins would never take the fight.

I like Bad Chad, he's a solid fighter good boxing skills...but like Jermain Taylor at times he seems to fade.

I want Tarver to fight Tavoris Cloud ......and then retire

This was my first time seeing Chad Dawson fight and I wasn't disappointed in what I saw. He has good boxing skills, and has a strong presence that reminds me of Andre Berto at times. He did get gassed at the end of that Tarver fight, but he won without a doubt.

Tarver on the other hand gave a pretty good showing against a younger and physically stronger fighter. Good defense, good punching, I'd like to see Tarver fight Winky Wright if Winky doesn't mind going up in weight.
