A boxer past his prime beats a trained MMA fighter.

I saw Shaq might try MMA now too. That would look terrible for MMA if he did well in MMA too. A guy retires in his main sport & takes up MMA as a hobby & still does well - what would that say about the full time MMA fighters?
Whats wrong with a boxer in mma? Boxing is an aspect of MMA too its called "Mixed Martial Arts" which means all of them and boxing falls into that category. I wish people would stop trying to seperate boxing and MMA when boxing falls into an MMA category
There's nothing wrong with it but why do you think they won't let him in? He's one of the most famous boxers around so a big name like his could only help MMA unless they're worried he'd come in & beat a guy who's been doing MMA for years.
it's too much of a gamble, if they win you know they'd gloat that a MMA fighter beat a boxing legend, hell they almost started when Ray Mercer tried, and he's hardly legendary lol, but if Jones wins, against Silva nonetheless than that would be a very bad day for the UFC and all of MMA, their Manny Pacquiao being beaten by a faded IMO shot fighter who once WAS great
