Default Next Mandatory for Zsolt Erdei

Will someone explain to me who is Erdei's next mandatory? How is it determined who is his next mandatory? The WBO rankings are here: Rankings - World Boxing Organization.

In addition, is one of the Andre's (Ward and Dirrell) the mandatory for Karoly Balzsay because they are ranked #1 #2?

    Just read this on fightnews.com...

    Shumenov targets Erdei, Garay!

Fast-tracking light heavyweight Beibut Shumenov (8-0, 6 KOs), fresh off of his impressive fourth-round stoppage of former two-time world champion Byron Mitchell last Saturday night in Kazakhstan, has set his sights on a major world title fight against WBO champion Zsolt Erdei or WBA title-holder Hugo Garay. A 2004 Olympian, Shumenov is rated #8 by the WBA, #9 by the WBO and #16 by the WBC and in his last three fights has defeated two former world champions, Mitchell and Montell Griffin, in addition to world title challenger Epifanio Mendoza. “It was great fighting at home and I want to thank Byron Mitchell for replacing (Alejandro) Berrio on such late notice,” an ambitious Beibut said. “He still has the heart of a champion and it showed in the ring. I grateful for winning the IBA World title and now I’m ready for more challenges. I really want to fight Erdei or Garay and I’m hopeful that one of them steps-up to give me an opportunity to fight for their world title crown.”

It's on the norm. #1 or #2 if either one of those guys is not available then the next top available rated fighter.

More often then not it's all BULL....
You've got guys ranked #15, #18 or #13 fighting for titles.

The WBO has since elevated Zsolt to "Super" Champion status in the past year or so. According to their rules as a "Super" champion he gets an extended period of time to defend against a mandatory challenger.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Erdei has defended against a mandatory during his reign. I believe Zsolt fights the highest rated guy Universum can come to terms with.

According to Boxing Scene, Jurgen Brahmer is next in line for Erdei providing he successfully defends his European title on June 6th.

As far as I know he did...I think the first Garay fight was mandatory and also his fight with Sahnoune...

Oh did he...I wasn't for sure but I thought if he did, it was probably against Garay.

Zsolt Erdei is The Light Heavyweight Champion of the World, coming from the Hill, Michalczewski, Gonzales line; thus I think most think his mandatory is against Paul Williams.
