I think I've heard something similar before and it goes like this:

I think its more funny to hear someone blame his one-sided loss to a pair of socks. I don't think anybody has ever used that excuse before.

I didn't know he went to a 99 Cent Store to buy a pair of socks. Story got even more funny after reading that! I wonder if he went back to the 99 Cent Store next day and asked for a refund.
