Suprised no one has mentioned any of the Dwight Muhammad Qawi fights, the 1st one was one of the best fights i've ever seen. And the 2nd fight was one of his most impressive skillful performances of his career. And considering how good Dwight Muhammad Qawi was thats saying a whole lot.

    Tyson 1...completely outclassed Tyson

Bowe 2...remarkable effort against the bigger man

Lewis 2...superb performance unrewarded, as much as Lewis was robbed in the first fight Holyfield was denied in the second. (It was just payback)

    i mentioned it earlier on

1st fight was a bit naive from evander as he was clearly the better boxer from the word go but kept trying to engage Qawi despite the fact he had the height and weight advantage.

By the 2nd fight evander had just worked his man out and was able to pick him off at will!!

Perhaps the greatest cruiserweight of all time. Could have perhaps been considered one of the best heavyweight if he would have stop on time. I will always wonder how come nobody stepped in to deny him any further licence before it's way too late and something horrible happens.

being the greatest cruiser of hard time is hardly a massive acknowledgment considering there havent been a hell of a lot of good fighters to come out of that division.

though agreed he is the best by a complete mile of a very average bunch

I do not deny that, cruiserweight has hardly been the most exciting division in ages, I was just stating the fact... and that I wonder how he gets still licences to fight when he barely does something in a ring against any quality opponent.

I think it is safe to say that by the 1st Bowe fight Evander was starting to show decreasing stamina. His ability to fight 12 hard rounds didn't drop off quite as dramatically as say ODH but when I watch that fight and ones afterward now I can see he took part of some rounds off. Unlike a guy like Lennox both Tyson's and Evander's prime was relatively short. It is hard to say who was father past it in 1996. I think Evander really wanted to be a knock out artist at HW and put on muscle to do so. To me this is what started to adversley effect his stamina and the whole heart issue. IMHO if he had stayed closer to 200 than 220 not mention stay a counter punch boxer and not brawler he may have one a few more. I still remeber when he had Bowe down in the third fight but just didnt' seem to have anything left in the tank to finish him. To me the Qawi fight is hands down his best fight for pure entertainment and the demolishing of Moorer in the rematch was very impressive.
