Boxing needs anyone willing to fight, and especially willing to fight the best. In the HW division boxing needs damn near whoever they can get. Heck if boxing doesn't need haye on the brink of a title shot and with only one loss then we need to get rid of 75% of the guys out there doing less than he is. Starting with those he's beat already

I went with 'Yes', but not necessarily in terms of Haye per se... More what he represents - Boxers who are willing to take risks and promote the sport. The HW division needs half a dozen more fighters with quality to breathe some real life back into it. It's taken a huge hit over the past 5 years in the media and it'll take alot for it to recover its reputation.

I hope Haye bangs out both Klit's. I don't think he will but it would be an amazing achievement as, despite what the haters say, they are elite level boxers. However, if he does manage the impossible then what? I don't see any top prospects coming through anytime soon... The likes of Povetkin, Arreola, Dimitrenko are destined to be B level imo so there still has to be an emergence of serious talent to get the division going, regardless of what Haye achieves.

In a way I'm glad of the demise in recent years though because of the added attention that its brought to all the other divisions. Although it'd be nice to see the Klit's have some company at the top of the tree.

Boxing needs fighters who are willing to make the best fights and go after the best. David Haye is such a fighter. Personally, I don't think we need Wladimir Klitschko. John Ruiz has provided more excitement in his fights for me than Wlad. I'm sure I'll piss people off by saying that, but I'd pretty much favour anyone over him now, I look forward to him losing again.

Yes, boxing needs more David Haye's. Without a doubt.

Fighters that bring attention to the fights and make them interesting. Fighters who are willing to fight the very best and not take 1 challenge then 20 bum defences. Fighters that people talk about constantly, like in this thread.

I think Haye is good for the sport, especially in the HW division.

Big Wlad has had his time to put the heavweight division back on the map.He failed terribly.
Now its Hayes turn to light up the heavweights!

Question should be if Haye is going to need Boxings help to pay his medical bills. I say yes.

Saying yes is pretty much saying Boxing can't survive without Haye. That is clearly not the case.

As I explained too you before.
You would want to be a mad man to think boxing wouldn't survive without Haye.
However the heavyweight division has been in a dire state over the last few years.A fighter like David Haye is putting the excitement and mainstream interest back into boxings marquis division. This can only be good for boxing.I'm sure boxing fans agree.
