Who's next, Boston, Carolina? Back to back division titles would be a nice feather in the cap. Especially considering how the Pens turned it around this year.
I think the Pens match up well against both teams. Boston has a deep, dynamic forward core and the superior defense, but even though he's had a great season I'm not 100% sold on Thomas in goal. The only advantage I'd give Carolina is in net, but I think the Pens can perforate Ward. If I'm you, I'm cheering for the 'Canes.

Boston is my 2nd favorite team, so I'm hoping they can win the cup now that the Canucks are dead.

Well we pushed a game 7.

I'm happy but wow! does the "d" suck.
We almost blew it there at the end.

Some brilliant saves which had me jumping everytime.

Was getting pissed because the Ducks totally were defending the 2-0 lead in the 3rd and I can somewhat understand but I hate when teams do that in sports.

Really good game, I just hope the Ducks can somehow regroup and play a good game.

Sorry to hear about your Ducks Mick. They fought the good fight tho, and almost pulled it off.

Well, the semis are all set. The Pens and Carolina series is going to be a good one for our house. I go for the Pens, becuz they aren't Toronto and are my team. Crosby is clearly awesome and showing his mettal as a true superstar by elevating his game post season. If Malkin decides to come to work, it could be interesting. The goaltending has been solid also.

My dad is going for Carolina becuz Paul Maurice and Ron Francis are locals and are friends of his and says I should too. Wut? As if..

Red Wings and Hawks. I'd just like to see the Wings lose. They never seem to do enough of that. I don't hate them or anything, but just gettin tired of seeing them win all the damn time. Plus the finals would be an easier place for my Pens without the Red Wings, should they make it.

So in short, Go Pens! Fuck all the rest.

    That's it. Game on.

That was one of the MOST edge of your seat game I've seen in while.

Shit! we almost pulled it off.

The Ducks were good but the injuries def. played a toll and we were physically done.

I dont' usually follow hockey but one of my buddies is a big Pens fan so he had me watching the Capitals vs Pens series. I was pretty impressed. Looks like the Pens will play the Canes now.

The Pens are going to roll the Canes. At least half of my SCF prediction will come to pass, though it's small consolation.

After the first games of the semi-finals, Conference Championships, it now stands at:

Pens 1-0 With a 3-2 win over Carolina. Fleury played an amazing game coming up huge on numerous occasions to secure the opening win. Crosby is still on top of his game, but the team will need to work on giving up the puck and stupid mistakes if they want this drive to be successful. Bit boring to watch after the Caps series, but again, it is only game 1.

Det 1-0 With a 5-2 opening win over the Hawks. Detroit looks strong and should easily be favored in not only this series, but to take it all. This is the playoffs tho, so who knows, anything can happen.

I was watching the Pens religiously until I signed up for a class to learn to hablo some espanol that meets M-W-Th nights, so I havent seen a game for two weeks or so.

Even though the Capitals lost, Ovechkin is awesome and am glad that the pens-capitals series got me to see him in action, what an exciting player to watch.

Apparently the penguins won tonite as well but I was busy estudie espanol en mi clase.

I'm still not sold on Fleury (maybe it's his dirty-frenchman style facial hair, I dunno), but he's slowly winning me over. He reminds me a bit of Grant Fuhr in that his numbers may not be spectacular and he may let in some bad goals, but when the game is on the line he makes the save the needs to be made.

The Canucks loss has me feeling apathetic regarding hockey. Go Wings. I want to see a rematch. I wonder if Hossa will sign with the Pens if they win this time.

The Pens are through to the finals after sweeping Lyle's beloved Hurricanes. I hope Detroit smokes them again in the rematch.

I have to say, if the Pens can keep up the tempo and work together as a team, as they are...they have a real shot at taking the wings down. They are underdogs, no question, but are firing on all cylinders. Should be a great final!

    Go PENS!
