    Welcome back saddo

Just a thought, there is a lot of shouting over who Ricky should fight, so lets consider the options:

    WW:

    Mayweather
    Margorito
    Gatti
    Baldomir
    Mitchell
    Judah
    Collazzo

    LW:

    Cotto
    Castillo
    Witter
    Malignaggi
    Corrales

    Now lets consider reasons why he wont/can't fight each of these people;

Mayweather; Looks to be linign up with ODLH and Ricky is not ready IMO

Margorito; Defending his WBO title against ? in Las Vegas 08-12-2006, is this too laste in the year, anyone know who he is fighting

Gatti; Fighting Baldomir in Atlantic City 22-07-06

Baldomir; Fighting Gatti in Atlantic City 22-07-06

Mitchell; Seems to be available to fight, but the ultimate goal PBF has already destroyed him as has Tszyu, not the fight it once would have been, Mitchell has no Belts.

Judah; Again PBF, Tszyu and Baldomir have already messed up Judah. And he doesn't have any belts, although a previous undisputed champion.

Collazzo; No belt and he has already done it once. If he wins he has not proved anything except that he has beaten him twice. If he loses his legacy becomes a pipe dream and he loses his big draw the zero after his name. However big pay day and would silence some nay-sayers not all though!

Cotto: Already has two fights lined up Malignaggi at MSG on 06-10-06 and JLC at MSG on 11-11-06

Castillo; Has a fight with Cotto at MSG 11-11-06 and could possibly be facing a ban after the Corrales debacle

Witter; Not yet a big name in America, and so not a big money fight. Also no belts

Malignaggi; Tied up with Cotto at MSG on 06-10-06

Corrales; Does he wasnt to fight at 140, and does RIcky want to go back to 140 when the money fighters are at 147?

As you can see from this list there is nobody who is genuinely a great choice. By fighting Urkal he can keep hold of the belt, which fighting Collazzo would not do, and buy him time so that other fighters can free themselves up. He needs a belt so that fighters will go for it so they have something to gain asides from bragging rights.

If I have got anything wrong or missed anybody out let me know
