Allan Green calls out Chad Dawson

Allan Green doesn't seem to have that fading issue ? he went down twice in the last round against Edison Miranda. What would you call that ? Plus how can you tell anyway ? Allan Green has only gone 10 rounds and he's only gone 10 rounds with two decent fighters not any elite fighters not even close, and in one of those fights he went down twice in the last round. Allan Green hasn't done anything in ages this fight would be a waste of time and it would make Chad Dawson even weaker.

There's plenty of fights at Light Heavyweight to be made.

Chad Dawson vs Adrian Diaconu
Chad Dawson vs Danny Green

Any of these fights are better than a fight with Allan Green at 168.

Those are good fights, but.................Dawson has publically stated he doesn't want to rematch Johnson. Diaconu is fighting Pascal the result and manner of that fight will greatly impact the negotiations of that. Danny Green well is he here to stay or not? I can't say, he may need another two years off. Cloud is great but again he doesn't seem willing to make fights.

Dawson wouldn't need to vacate to fight Green since he just satisfied his mandatory by winning over Tarver the second time.

Are there better fights, sure. Are any of those fights likely to be made is the bigger question.

I say why not, Allan Green is a semi-recognizable name and gets Dawson's foot in the door in a division he stated to have an interest in.

Tarver wasn't his mandatory, just a contractual rematch clause. He actually will have to fight his mandatory or vacate. I've heard Clinton Woods may be fighting for that vacant title. Woods would be a decent fight for Dawson next. Ex World champion and a durable name on his record.

People are overstating Dawson fading in fights. Its not like a Judah or Taylor fade. Dawson faded in the fight against Johnson. In the first Tarver fight he basically won every round. In the second fight Tarver just flat out fought better. He let his hands go and so Dawson had to respect those heavy hands and pick his spots. Dawson is a quick starter and no one is a machine so of course he won't be the same in the 12th as the 2nd. Slow starters in the end are faster. Fast starters in the end are slower. Its that simple. And Green did not just have one bad night. He got beat up by Miranda and almost knocked out by his former sparring partner , McCrary, who couldn't even get near the 168 pound weight limit. The truth is Green does have talent but lets be real he actually gets judged too much for one fight. The one against Jaidon Codrington. I think Green should fight a Dirrell or a Stevens. But he doesn't deserve a shot at the man at 175 just because he called him out. I heard him call out everybody except...Miranda.
