Tyson has an excellent fast jab and those body shots would make McCallum happy.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Thought Belshaw was poor por por tonight. Some seriously wide and slow punches, no head movement atall and not much of a defence. Although Danny williams is pretty poor, it is a massive massive step up from fighting belshaw, and especially Chisora. Although neither are amazing, i have a sneaky feeling that if someone can hit fury, he'll get knocked out. One to wait and see hey.....
People keep saying this about him getting hit, but if he boxes behind his jab like he did tonight they won't get near his chin. I don't really rate that Chisora, I think he tries to land the big shot too often. And he didn't seem overly keen when asked if he fancied taking Fury on in the near future, I think he should look at that Butlin. He seems like he can take a shot and could possibly push Fury over 8 rounds.
I liked his performance last night.
Belshaw had no answers to Fury's jab. I was wondering what his defence was? No head movement, no block, no parry?
Fury has got some lovely punches in his armour. Nice jab, left hook to the head, right uppercut and left hook to the body.
Very good, and also got out of the way of Belshaw's haymaker hooks.
Fury kind of flinches when under attack, which I'm not so sure about, but he's a good fighter.
That's the one thing we really need to see before we can make any real judgements on the lad is him under a sustained attack, and having to defend. Not the odd one or two shots which Belshaw sneaked through last night, but a flurry of five or six shots four or five times in a round. As was raised by McGuigan I think, he also tends to retreat with his head held away from his opponent rather than tucked in on his chin.
However, so far so good for the big lad, Belshaw should have been a step up in class, but he cruised through it, and those body shots looked really hard.
Tyson looked very good. His jab and movement is really good for a big man and he seems to pick his spots. I was disapointed that Belshaw folded so easily.
Well the White George Foreman didn't live upto his name.![]()
Fury looked GOOD!! Nothing bad to say about that performance tonight.
He always did that thing while backing up. I thought his chin was hidden pretty well behind his shoulder when he was retreating - He just needs to watch for long left hooks in that stance.
