Well if I recall they were slated as the top dawgs then Bynum got hurt and those talks died down.
Then it was all about Cavs then the Lakers went on to beat them, then it was Denver then the Lakers went on to beat them.
If anything the Cavs & The Nuggest picked up a lot more hype beacuse the Cavs blew out the Pistons & The Hawks. While the Nuggs were convingcly beating the Hornets & The Mavs.
Everytime you'd turn to Sports you'd read The Unstoppable Cavs and or how Great the Nuggets are looking.
Meanwhile the Lakers & The Magic were having some difficulties with their opponents.
I think the Lakers will be in the finals vs. who I'm still not sure cause I think the Magic a grind team. They hustle and they don't give up now if only they knew how to close out games.
A better game? Fuck me...
Then let me set my TiVo cause anything better then what he's having already will be amazing. (Minus last nights game)
Game1: 39-6-4
Game2: 34-9-4
Game3: 21-5-3
Considering he was averagin a little over 20 ppg he's done a great job IMO doubling his ppg. He's been shooting well and has set the pace but it seems like the rest of team is not fully synched. At times they do show signs but just can't keep it together.
Exactly which is why your above statement surprised me.
Because I feel Melos doing his part. Can he take it up another level?
I'm sure and maybe that's what you are saying that he should push his pts. up to the 40's range? ? ?
But I also think that when one of your starters has only 1 pt. in the game and your bench can only produce 16 pts. it's gonna cost you. Not to mention Billups had a shitty game 1.
Melos gonna get his and he'll get going what needs to happen is Billups has to be ready to go at the same time once they start feeling it like in game 2 where you have Melo with 34 pts. and Billups 27 then the Nuggest will beat the Lakers.
It's crazy cause I think game 2 & game 3 where almost carbon copies but opposite ways. Where the Lakers played well and from the feel of the game they should have had a wide lead but didn't and they just couldn't slip away. All the while Denver was just there lurking.
Same thing in game 3 from the feel of the game Denver should have been up comfortably and should have had a wide lead but they couldn't shake the Lakers off the Lakers just hung out within 8 pts. or so and then just took it in the end.
