Donnie Darko doesn't do any time traveling... he has a premonition of what will happen if he doesn't stay in bed.

The only thing that does any time traveling is the bit of the plane that gets sucked through a worm hole. In the future his mum and sister would have been on that plane, his girlfriend would have been crushed by the car and he would have shot the guy dressed as a rabbit. All because of events he put into motion.

He sacrifices himself, he basically has a dream that will become reality if he doesn't. He somehow dreams a little piece of Chaos theory (probably because there is a giant wormhole above his bedroom!!)

harsh, hahah.. although i think the donnie darko comment is also an opinion type of thing.. there is no real conclusion of how he knew what was going to happen.. whether it was a dream or he went back in time..

The reason I think it was just preminition is because we saw the plane get sucked through the vortex thing, we didn't see anything happen to Darko as I recall. Not seen it in a while though.

lost - they all end up unwrapping the latest twist in the plot only to unwrap another more tedious plotline EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen it in a while, but didn't Rocky end in a draw..hence the rematch. I never did understand Darko but strangely enough I saw a preview for a prequel/sequel of it. Something about his sisters point of view.
