What really sparked the discussion was a split among the boxing press as to who deserved to be the Fighter of the Year for 1998. THE RING went with Mayweather, who beat Hernandez for the title and defended it against Angel Manfred (TKO 2). The Boxing Writers Association of America went with Mosley, who defended his lightweight title five times, all by stoppage (including the likes of John-John Molina and James Leija). So from that point (in early ’99) it was natural for the boxing media and the fans to debate who would win if they fought (and for the record, I was leaning towards Mayweather), however, there were NO serious discussions about this fight."

Dougie's MASSIVE Mosley-Mayweather mailbag
I think this guy is not credible. He was rebutting everyone he disagreed with by saying they are bias but he was not even realizing how bias he was leaning. I am a major Mosley fan but that guy was just flat out closed minded. He belittled PBF's victory over Corrales, who was still fighting at that weight and beat everyone else, by saying he was weight drained. Hmmm, didn't Pac get a victory over someone who hadn't made 147 in many years? Basically, the guy was breaking down everything good PBF has actually done and tried to convince people it was nothing.
