Third, I said Mosley has a great chin, I didn't say PBF doesn't. To be honest I don't know about PBF, but he looked a little shook by Judah, and ODH hits harder than Judah.

Fourth PBF will not be able to spend the whole fight without getting hit. If he throws punches he will take some as well. I am not a ODH fan, I just know when a fighter is over matched. PBF isn't big enough for this weight class and when he fights a complete fighter he will lose. As much as I have disliked ODH he is a complete fighter.
It's luck if your eyes are closed...like tarver in the second RJJ fight...

And Delahoya's power is extremely overrated...believe he only got the KO's over Vargas and Mayorga because they were ruined by tito trinidad...

Proof is in the fact that Vernon forrest dropped shane mosely twice but couldn't drop mayorga even when mayorga gave him free shots...

According to you Delahoya did land good shots on Shane but shane was never hurt...Forrest dropped him twice but couldn't drop Mayorga...Oscar couldn't drop shane but KO'ed Mayorga only after Ricardo got ruined by Tito...So Oscar got to display his power on Mayorga only after tito cleaned up vargas and Mayorga...

PBF will not be there to hit like Mayorga, and instead of looking for one big blow he will pelt Oscar with shot after shot all night long. If you want an example watch the Whitaker Vs De La Hoya fight where Oscar could not find Pernell all night long. Picture that but with alot more offense from his opponent. Another thing is that Oscar's greatest victories came against Mayorga and Vargas, two fighters that were beaten half to death against Trinidad and both showed signs of slowing down before they lost to Oscar. Now this great punching power I hear about Oscar did not work against

Trinidad- who he hit with his best shot's and could not finish nor wobble
Mosley 1 and 2- Mosley was never in trouble of being knocked out and almost knocked Oscar out in the 9th round of the second fight.
Hopkins- Could not even come close to hurting
Sturm- Never Hurt
Whitaker- Never could hit him
Quartey- Had him in trouble in the 12th and hit him with his best shots wide open and could not finish him (judges robbed quartey)

These are the fighters that he faced at their peak's and never showed signs of slowing down yet his punching power was not a factor, so what's this myth about his punching power. Floyd would have beaten Oscar in his prime yet alone now.
excellent post but...

i don't think PBF would of beaten Mosely at 147 six years ago and probably wouldn't today. Mosely jumped straight from lightweight to welter carrying his timing, speed, power and combinations into the 1st Oscar fight at 147. It was a very close fight and I don't believe Floyd would of faired any better than Oscar infact I think he would of done worse. You really think lil'Floyd would of actually done better in any of those fights?

Floyd v Trinidad (undeafeted 1999 version) 147lb
Floyd v Mosely (undefeated 2000 version) 147lb
Floyd v Hopkins (undisputed MW Champ) 160lb
Floyd v Sturm (undefeated MW Champ) 160lb
Floyd v Whitaker (40-1 WBC Champ) 147lb
Floyd v Quartley (34-0 WBA Champ) 147lb

Floyd has only fought 2 fights at 147lb against 2 very good 140lb boxers that have both previously been destroyed in the ring physically and mentally in a lower division! PBF has shown me nothing at 147lb to convince me he could win any of the above fights when Oscar fought them. I suppose you think Floyd could of destroyed Mayorga at 154lb like Oscar did too?

I' am 100% sure Oscar could beat PBF at 147 but I got a gut feeling he will lose the decision and you watch the controversy after the fight.
PBF, other than moving up too fast, would have beaten the S*** out of all them except mosely...tito got outboxed by delahoya and oscar can't box like PBF...and of those seven fights oscar lost 4...the other three where extremely controversial victories...

point is oscar has never beaten a prime A-rated fighter and it won't happen against PBF unless the planets line up, pigs fly, snow in june in miami, or some miraculous anotonio tarver eyes closed lucky punch lands on pbf...other than that he will be beaten and quite easily at that....

fact is every A-rated fighter Oscar has shared the ring with has never out boxed him. He held his own against everyone of them. What A-list fighters has Floyd hung with? Zab Judah... or maybe Luis Castillo at 135lb...

well said.
If by held his own you mean he lost? Then yeah he really held his own....And PBF doesn't hold his own against A-rated fighters he beats them, because he's A++...

And if Castillo is A-RATED then certainly Chico is A-rated and so is hernadez and chavez and floyd beat them all.....and if you want to come back say that only Castillo is the only a-rated fighter then floyd still beat him twice and those are 2 victories over A-rated competition whereas Oscar has ZERO wins over A-rated competition....OSCAR HAS NEVER BEATEN PRIME A-RATED COMPETITION...NEVER...and to think that all of a sudden he will beat an A++ fighter in floyd is just silly...he has about as much of a chance of beating PBF as Mayorga did of beating him which is to hope to land a hard shot and wish that PBF can't take it....other than that OSCAR will be beaten soundedly...
