Our drivers licencing system sucks. When I turn 16 I can apply for a beginners permit. If I pass, I can only drive with a fully registered licenced person in the car, and never alone. Plus not at night or on highways. And at rediculously expensive insurance rates. After that you have to reapply to get a normal licence at age 17, and still pay thru the wazoo for insurance. It's a graduated system I guess because of so many idiot teens killing themselves and others first chance they get behind the wheel.
