I was happy to see that he has been working on not bending over and turning away from his opponent so much when pressed like he did against Margarito. He still did it sometimes, but not as much as before. He lost to AM twice but who knows if AM's handwraps were illegal. He might be undefeated if not for that, even though he did lose to Martinez but got a draw. Margarito probably beats him either way though.

He needs to condition a bit more, maybe and I am sure that the Kronk is a good place to improve pressure defense, that's one of the thing thatManny normally does well.
Kermit is trained by Ronnie Shields now
I missed that in the news, thanks for the info. Well, I trust shield a lot, one of the great overall trainers and he knows too how to cope with his proteges habits and mood, still a great place for him to be.

He's not with Emmanuel Steward any more, he trains with Ronnie Shields now in Houston. I was happy for him too, because alot of people have been hating on him for the Margarito fights, he didnt fold and has shown some heart for not going into a shell, and he does fight tough guys on the regular.

I agree. Cintron may have been horribly wronged in his fights with Margarito. He went into them a highly marketable undefeaded fighter and came out with his confidence destroyed, only to find out three years latter that Margarito may have (and I believe certainly did) had his gloves loaded with plaster.

Good win for Cintron. Angulo should have waited before this big of a step up in class.

Any of the best at 154 will beat Cintron.

Lance, you know that Kermit was never meant to be a champion. He doesn't have the heart. To question the use of plaster is pretty speculative, and the bottom line was that Tony was the better man. Tony will always be a warrior and Kermit is not. Kermit had the best opportunities and trainers and just came up short.

    Good win for Cintron!

I saw this one coming a mile away.
I'm kicking myself for not putting any money on Cintron at +385

Cintron-vs-Angulo was a WBC Eliminator so expect Martinez to beat Cintron again in a few months.
