I know I'm in the minority, but I just do no find Sacha Baron Cohen funny at all. I also cannot stand Eminem, but I think he showed pretty good restrain there. If someone did that to me in front of an audience of literally millions of people I would probably lose my cool in a possibly violent way.

i was begining to think it was me losing my humour but watching this now on TV and just watched them give an genaration award to Ben Stiller... which consisted of them taking the piss out of him for 5 to 10 minutes before presenting it

he took it very well but maybe its me missing something here with the whole humour of the show

I think Eminem wanted to go wash all that crap and ballsack juice off his face. He should have punched him in the balls though. I thought it was funny for about 2 seconds then it got stupid and annoying. You know Eminem will be making a song about it

I haven't watched the MTV awards since I was 16 or 17 (which was some time ago - certainly longer than I care to admit), so I don't really know what went on in the show aside from the Eminem thing.

I don't even know if they're still relevant in any way, but I've never found it interesting aside from the musical performances. I remember reading about how Kurt Cobain spat phlegm all over the piano Alex Rose had to use right before he performed and I've seen footage of a very wasted Courtney Love fucking with Madonna, but those are pretty much the only things I remember about the show in all the years I watched it as a kid.
