Britain's David Haye has made a shock withdrawal from his world title fight against Wladimir Klitschko on 20 June in Gelsenkirchen. Haye has postponed the fight, seeking a six- to eight-week delay, with the Bermondsey fighter understood to have injured an hand.
Klitschko, the IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion, said: "I've been waiting for David Haye for six months and I'm still determined to fight on 20 June. We will now consider opponents."
Asked if he accepted that Haye was injured, the 33-year-old said: "I'm not one to throw garbage at a man who's down, although if it was the other way around I'm sure he would do this."
