but he was easily outboxing Margarito for the first 6 rnds straight, IMO i had Cotto ahead of Tony by the time of the stoppage, and that's the difference, he won't have to stand in front of Clottey to outbox him now will he, plus Clottey is HARDLY an offensive type fighter, he waits and likes to counter, if it comes to who's the better counter puncher sorry but IMO Cotto wins there also, Cotto to win by a comfortable UD or 10th rnd TKO, from a left to the body

I can also see Cotto taking the early rounds by boxing Clottey and moving/bouncing a lot all over the ring... Clottey will always pressure Cotto by constantly moving forward with his arms in high tight defensive guard... Clottey will mostly throws counterpunches, fast stinging combos from a high guard defense when he has a chance to catch Cotto infront of him... I predict Cotto will tire first because of the constant movement/bouncing in the early rounds then he will be forced to stand there toe-to-toe with Clottey and this is where Clottey will pick him up, probably landing a brutal uppercut since Cotto is susceptible to uppercuts during infighting...

Clottey's open to the body while having his earmuffs on, and IMO not as quick nor as sharp as Cotto, hasn't had the quality opponents either

Clottey got faster hands than Cotto... Cotto can work the body but taking some risk catching the fast stinging counterpunch combos from Clottey... Look for the uppercut to catch Cotto... Foot movement goes to Cotto tho...

Clottey has an awesome frame and is durable with nice tight guard.But he does not effort to use his physical advantages....his mind wanders.....and faster Cotto will be clipping him but must keep that slide movement up.He backed straight and literally sat on the ropes vs. Tony.Clottey can be out maneuvered and waits around too much.

Clottey has faster hands. He throws 4 to 6 punch combos most of the time. He's got the advantage fighting inside. Cotto should win if keeps his distance and use his excellent footwork.
