...odd choice of words considering what happened to your fighter.

There's only 2 ways to beat Wlad #1 Take numerous blows to the head and hope that Wlad tires out #2 Catch him with a hard power punch and be able to follow up....I SUPPOSE he could be outboxed, but we haven't seen it and it ain't like Chagaev is blowing fighters out of the water here either, he beat Ruiz and Valuev, but both those guys were still in the fight at the end.

Even though Chagaev isn't super fast or strong, I think he is a lot more cagey than Ibragimov. I am gonna stay optomistic about this and say it ends up being more on par with the Thompson fight which was not a bad fight.
Agreed on that one. I too will stay optimistic. Chagaev is a solid boxer and he has a few good names on his resume. He will have a similar strategy as Ibragimov because there really isn't another strategy if you are 6'1, 228. That said, he may be more of a warrior than Ibragimov and force some oppenings when Ibragimov was more content on being safe.

I'm quite looking forward to it. If anything someone like Chagaev is probably more deserving of a shot at Wlad than Haye anyway. So, it has turned out pretty well IMO.
Agreed. Vlad may force the action more than in the Ibragimov fight because there are higher expectations in that the fight was Haye was expected to be exciting. Another boring fight wouldn't bear well for Vlad's reputation and even with Vlad's chin I'm not sure Chagaev has the power to scare him.

I think wide UD. Same as every other fight.

Chagaev seems sturdy enough but form what i've seen, i think Wladimir's Jab will be way too much.
Wladimir will probably be cautious of the Cagey types so don't expect fireworks.

I've gone Wlad UD, think he's just too big and will keep the smaller man at bay with his jab....

I'm trying not to let everybody elses opinions of this being a dead cert bore fest get to me.!!! As I will be at the fight!

Not my first big fight by any means but my first time for a HW world title fight! I'm pissed that Haye wont be fighting but I still get to see the HW Champion Of The World!

Do you think they'll still have Buffer as the MC seeing as it's not on HBO? I hope so, I can't help but love the: 'Now, for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching around the world....' speech

I don't see Wlad going for the KO. This fight is risky for him so I see him playing it cagey as not to risk future paydays. He hasn't been preparing for a southpaw and has just switched his training. Chagaev will make life difficult for him, but I see Wlad winning a decision. If Chagaev won though, I wouldn't be shocked.

I've heard the WBA title will not be on the line, as Valuev is champion, neither Chagaev nor Wlad have applied to the WBA to sanction the fight, and the WBA said they would be unlikely to sanction it even if a request came in as Chagaev's position as champion in recess is under discussion.

I hope to hell this fight has more thrills and fireworks than that of the stinky 2008 fiasco of "Klit-Iggy" from New York........

If Rusty Chagaev is gonna make a name for himself, he's got to get the lead out and make a stand....... No jackin' around in the ring posing and feinting, and not throwing anything worth while... I hate that....

I see Wlad Klit as the better man..... It sounds like both are serious, so I expect a good fight...... My guess is, Klit by late round TKO........ Peace...

I say Wlad by ko, Ruslan will find out he's not in with the second rate HWs that he's use to fighting.
