I hate people claiming robbery in a close fight. I thought Cotto won. Clottey gave it away.

Cotto won. It was a close fight I had it 114-113 Cotto, some had it 115-112 (116-111 is a bit absurd though), hell if anything Cotto was robbed of a UD. Clottey wasn't robbed he got beat, and he gave it away too bad so sad sucks for him.

I thought Clottey took it 114-113, maybe 115-112 (but I'm removing a round because I was supporting Clottey), but that takes nothing away from Cotto, who removed any doubts I might have had about his heart before the fight. It's not a robbery, but it's one of those fights that DEFINITELY deserves a rematch, & people can complain about the cut, but Cotto wasn't exactly a complete victim, with endless low blows & spinning Clottey around. But that's part of boxing, as are cuts.

Scoring it 116-111 is an absolute joke, but Clottey needed to push it more after the 8th to make sure because he was fighting Cotto, the champ, in NY with Arum looking towards a Pacquiao-Cotto fight.

People need to stop throwing there toy's out of there pram. It was a very close fight not a robbery at all, i wasn't actually scoring it RBR.

But the impression i got is that Joshua Clottey didn't do enough in the last 2 rounds.

And Miguel Cotto may of stole it and remember Joshua Clottey, was legitmately knocked down. Which made a difference in the fight.

Yes the two judges did score it completely wrong, but that doesn't mean Miguel Cotto didn't deserve to win or that it was a robbery.

It was a similar fight to Berto-Collazo, although its funny that some people who claimed that as a robbery don't see this is as one.

IMO neither is, this was a close fight, & Cotto showed world-class boxing skills in the last few rounds, although I did feel Clottey took the fight.

IMO, Clottey stopped throwing punches late in the fight because Cotto started catching him big time him in exchanges.

    Cotto gutted it out.

Yep, they robbed Clottey. It was the judges fault that if Clottey had thrown some punches and landed them he would have won the 12th and squeeze out a draw, but it was Cotto who won the last round which had him winning by 1 point on one of the judges scorecards.

With the sarcasm aside, it's not a robbery.

Why the hell would he need to squeeze out a draw when he won. He could have won 10-12 and still only managed a draw when he clearly won 5, maybe could have had 6 rounds in the bag by the ninth round...even Manny had the tone of "What fucking fight are you two watching" in reference to Lampley and Kellerman clearly ball licking Cotto all night. Even tried to suggest that cotto's people have the doc stop the fight because they felt he was up on the cards. What a bunch of HBO bullshit...

Domination? It seems like the majority on this board saw it as a very close fight and so did I. Let me ask you since Clottey was landing the right all night, why did he shy away from it on the latter rounds and wasn't agressive anymore since Cotto was getting nailed with it from all the blood that was seeping in his eye? Especially in New York with Cotto's fan base and Cotto is the WBO champ?

I thought Cotto won and Clottey threw it away. Hated seeing him trying to get Cotto dq'd aswell.

Turned into Didier Drogba at one point and threw himself to the ground.

If Clottey hadn't of spent round 6 on the ropes and actually made an attempt to launch an attack in the 11th and 12th then he would have won.

Credit for Cotto fighting on and remianing competitive with a cut that was arguably as bad as Barrera's against Khan.

I had the fight scored for Cotto by 2 rounds. Clottey essentially quit in the last 3 rounds and just stopped trying to win.

I was rooting for Cotto but I thought Clottey won the fight. Clottey did screw himself by not doing much in the last couple rounds, but he had enough rounds in the bank as far as I'm concerned. I remember seeing Lederman's scorecard and thinking "wtf?" because he gave Cotto a couple of the earlier rounds that I though Clottey clearly won. Besides for the 1st, 11th, 12th, and the round (I forget which) where he had Clottey pinned in the corner, I thought Clottey won basically every other round. Bottom line, a rematch is definitely in order.

Another thing was clottey won the entire first round and with the KD it should have been scored 9-9...
