Hey guys this brings up another question..
My training gloves I bought are designed to be used with handwraps under them, correct? Well I don't really know anything about hand wraps. Will the gloves not work right without my hands wrapped?
I found this, can I use this instead for training and sparring?

Thanks
they will work fine without handwraps.
handwraps are to protect your hand from being injured...they are like a soft cast made up of gauze and tape
those wraps you suggested are for use without gloves
but you can use the handwraps like these under them : (not suggesting these, this is just to show the type)

I have another question, regarding bag gloves...
I used to only use these kind of bag gloves:
http://store.everlastboxing.com/ever...-glv-4307.html
I was hurting my hands... Now I use these:
http://store.everlastboxing.com/ever...ag-gloves.html
But I don't like these very much either for 1 reason: It seems like the padding on the front, where my fist strikes the bag, is uneven. The padding seems to stick out more towards my fingertips. What this does is when I hit the bag, it makes my punch put uneven pressure on my fist that tries to bend my wrist.
Is this a common problem, would better bag gloves fix it? Or is it just me?
Here, I drew a picture to illustrate what I am talking about: (I'm not an artist so try not to laugh!)
The yellow is my arm and fist inside the bag glove, the gray is the bag glove
Oh... My heavy bag came with hand wraps like those but I didn't know what they were so I just chucked them in my workout bag![]()
Now i'll have to learn how to wrap my hands maybe...
hey just for future refernce come on here and ask first so you dont waste moneyOriginally Posted by Hellbore
well you cant wear handwraps with bag gloves because your hands wont fit so you definitly need to get better bag gloves in the future
for now i would use the gloves you ordered the other day while hitting the bag (heavy bag)
some of it does have to do with you not knowing exactly how to do all the small things to make you punch as correct as it can be.
the original ones that came with it are speed bag glovesOriginally Posted by Hellbore
its not to hard to wrap your hands.
I used to work for wal-mart for ten years and can tell you that the gloves you bought may have been made by everlast but they are not quality stuff, probably made just for kids to horse around with. Hard to believe everlast would stoop so low to make such a product but hey they need to make money too. From my experience at wal-mart there is a reason there is a site called WalMartSucks.com, cause most of their stuff does (suck that is).Originally Posted by Magnum

What bag gloves would you suggest for a 70 lb. Nevatear bag, you know what bag I have right?
Actually there was a mixup, the thin speed bag gloves came with a different bag my Dad bought years ago, it was a softer bag and it didn't hurt with those gloves on. The funky gloves that I don't like with the uneven padding came with my new bag, the one we talked about. So I guess the good news is I didn't have to waste money on them.
i am still the same guy thats been helping you.Originally Posted by Hellbore
how much do you want to spend
Well, I'd rather not spend more than 50 bucks on bag gloves, in fact, why do I need separate bag gloves, it is better to use bag gloves rather than just hitting the bag with training gloves?
I will spend whatever I have to though to get some gloves that don't feel like shyte... The same gloves I have are like $24 on titleboxing.com so I definitely don't want to buy cheap ones again.
BTW I know you're the same guy, I just like to include all the info in case someone else reads the thread and wanted to say something. Thanks for all your help so far by the way.
you can just those gloves you oreder (the everlast ones). that is what i would suggest. i am not sure you might have missed my post so go back and check what i said on that.Originally Posted by Hellbore
