LOL Froch P4P? Seriously ? This is the guy that was being schooled until the 12th round against Taylor. Sure he won, but hes no way near the top 20 even. Hopkins schools him if they would fight this year

froch was schooling taylor in the latter rounds.
Hopefully Pascal can establish himself as a top 175 so Dawson can have a natural rival. Anway its good to have a young champ in that divison.

It was a really enjoyable fight. My second proper look at Pascal actually, and apart from leaving his hands down too much seems to have a lot of good all round skills.

I felt the same as CFH. That Pascal would last the distance only to lose out on a close UD. I was hoping I was wrong though, because I think Pascal is a very gutsy fighter who is proving extremely watchable. I'm happy for him. I think him vs. Yusaf Mack would be a cracking tear up.

The only schooling Taylor and Froch would do is showing how solid professionals can have incredible fundamental flaws in their game!
Pascal to me is a guy who has all the tools in the world to be a A list fighter, but he fights like he's still a fanboy. One fight he wants to be Shane Mosley, then Floyd Mayweather, then Roy Jones Jr. He's all over the place. It's almost as if he's trying to be unorthodox just to be unorthodox.
Pascal is a kind of Judah to Dawson's Mayweather. Judah and Pascal have more tools... Dawson and Mayweather use theirs like they should be used.
To the brave belong all things.

IMO losing 8 rounds straight, and yes Froch lost 8 rnds straight, plus an extra point for the knockdown by Taylor in the 3rd, and there is no way possible Froch would have won or even gotten a draw, IMO he was getting a boxing lesson until Taylor tired, and was able to capatalize on it, and i applaud him for it, but he's hardly unbeatable from 168 on up

Pascal isn't that good. On boxrec (who's rankings are never wrong) he is number 9.
I'd have him about 4 or 5. Why is boxrec so shit at rankings?

No way did Froch loose the first 8 rounds, when i watched it live on line i thought Froch was totally outboxed, but when i re watched it on TV, it was a very very close fight if Taylor would of survived that last round I think I had it Taylor by 1 point but thats with a 10-8 last round not 10-7 so like I say very close fight.
The Pascal win is looking very good now.

I've only seen the fight once, but i thought it was something like 7 rounds to 1 to Jermain Taylor in the first 8 rounds. With Carl Froch winning the last 3 rounds or so.
Even if it had gone to the scorecards it would of been reasonably close, because Jermain Taylor would of visited the canvas a 2nd time before he made the final bell. And that would of been a 3 point round, added to the 4 other rounds Carl Froch won.

seen the fight only once that being the actual night of the fight, but Taylor was well ahead going into the last round, although the tide was turning due to Taylor's stamina, i remember that if Taylor would have made it out of the final round he would have won by about 2 points, but Taylor CLEARLY won the early rounds and quite easily at that, Froch is no ring technician

Watched this fight on a replay this mornin. Really quite enjoyed it and quite like Pascal too. Just wish he had a bit more power. Just seems to fall short of the knockout stuff...... He would be very very good if he had that.
