Great Thread. He never really got his dues imo. Mitchell was a great fighter. He didnt do one thing spectacularly, he was just all around very good in every category.

Giving what he had to contend with and the enveloping politics and whatever backlash they brought,its speaks even higher of his ability to do what he did.I think the politics weighed pretty heavy on him.Took him a bit to get rolling but a very capable fighter and determined as they come.Not sure about answer but how many other champions can say they remained undefeated with every title defense fought being away from home.Always liked Lopez but The Tiger getting a draw in his sacred shrine that was Sacramento said it all.Good stuff Holmcall
