So obviously the way in which you win does matter with regards to that.
11 million viewers just in Germany doesn't matter? 61,000 fans in the stadium to watch the fight doesn't matter? I mean not everyone tuned in to watch David Haye, not everyone bought tickets to see David Haye. I will tell you if Wlad was American he'd be on his 10th PPV fight by now....fighting style wouldn't mind, they would compare him to Larry Holmes and he'd be selling crap on TV

Wlad won the fight, he stopped Chagaev a guy who had never lost, never been knocked down, and he just dominated him and yet he gets 0 respect, he knocks out Ray Austin with a HUGE punch and follow up and he gets 0 credit....it doesn't matter what Wladimir does the haters are just going to hate. If Wlad KO's David Haye with the 1st punch of the fight he'll get no credit, if Wlad loses it'll be HUGE for David Haye but at the end of the day it'll be the same old crap for Wlad "He's scared to get hit, he's chinny" blah blah blah, and if Wlad wins an all out war it's not going to matter, it won't help his cause with the haters because that's just what you guys do.

Actually my impression is that most on here would respect him more if he got through, win or lose, an all out war.

It kind of goes to your statement in the other post, about people in the end really only wanting to see Wlad lose in the end because they are haters. Me personally; I don't think most members on here really want to see him lose so much as take those risks, especially when he is in a position to do so{and has the skill set}when the fight is all but over and it goes more rounds than necessary. It's kind of like seeing a Great White shark circling and pecking at a seal until it's just dead instead of just putting the lights out after the initial blow, due to past experiences of getting injured by one and having reservations. I know it's a horrible analogy but the only one my limited mind is capable of right now

I actually think alot of people here want to get behind Wlad, because he has the tools to be an exciting heavyweight, yet gives off more the air of one who more increasingly has become timid. Or they just like pissing you off

Yeah, that's right. I mean Wladimir has defined his career with methodical, dominant beat downs. But it would be far more rewarding for him and his legacy if he engaged in one of those fights that are remembered for decades.

So far he's had none of those fights. It's sad that he's loosing efforts are more memorable than his wins.

Ze German's may love him. But then they love the sweet sound of Hasselhoff

The funny thing is that for a country that prides itself on "subtle humor" it also spawned Rowan Atkinson and Monty Python and Benny Hill....some of the most random silly humor ever.

I will say that ever since InBev took over Budwiser their commercials have been God awful though...but I amuse myself by thinking there is a room where these Fat Cat Belgians are sitting laughing their asses off at the very same commercials.

    But back on topic....

Well I hate to disagree with your impression but there are a few guys who just won't accept Wladimir as champion and oddly enough some of those people were fans of a certain "pugilist specialist" at heavyweight who also had every physical advantage over his opponent and let's not forget how lackluster Lennox could look, great fighter, great heavyweight but he picked his spots too.

Legion, all I understand "you're as good as your last fight" and all that but Wlad has never gotten respect. He beat the undefeated Sam Peter and people whined and complained about holding and said Sam Peter was a limited fighter. Wlad KO's Chris Byrd, Calvin Brock, Ray Austin, and stops Lamon Brewster back to back to back to back and what respect does he get It's not as if he was timid in those fights and he gets no props AT ALL.

But hey, you guys just continue on hating and wait for Wlad to lose, it'll be a while
