have a was gunna make a post like this but seen yours..

I thought tarver would win ina borring 12 round fight, i thought hopkins was to old, i didn't think he had it in him anymore. but credit where its due he was outstanding! It was Tarver that looked like the old man in that ring, hopkins was superb, but i really do hope he calls it a day now, i don't think he could put ont o many more fights like that, not at his age. + it would be a great way for a true great to retire, on a win and as a champion!

I couldnt be happier. B-Hop was brilliant. At 41 years of age he took on the best in the division and gave him a lesson. One of the finest moments in boxing ive witnessed and a hell of a finish to a great career

Loved it, I thought maybe Hopkins could win a close decision but I figured that it was probably more likely that Tarver would end up winning a kinda boring UD. Never figured that Hopkins would win it with ease, just didn't see that coming.

Its easy to say I picked Hopkins now that the fight is said and done and I don't think I actually posted my pick...

To me it game down to the weight, I eventualy came to the conclusion that Tarver could come down from the weight, but didn't have enough to time come up (if you get what I'm saying... ) from the weight... he was heavier than The 'Nard but Hopkins was the stronger, better conditioned man... I wasn' expecting that to be Hopkin's main strength I eventually but it down to a UD with Hopkins just being a better boxer (I know I go on about tarver... I think he is a decent boxer... skill wise at least... Its just that he's an arsehole... )

After Judah and Mayorga's losses. I am glad I was right on both accounts last night. I picked Bernard to defeat Tarver, I was worried about that one big shot, but I had faith in Bernard when most others did not. I also picked Cotto to crush Malinaggi, and while I hear Malinaggi survived and had his moments, he did not win. And was dropped, and suffered a broken nose and jaw. The main thing is that Bernard Hopkins dominated big mouth Tarver! Hell yeah!!

I'm pleased for Bernard it's a great achievement and he remains one of the best role models in the sport.

I was very disappointed with Tarver though, you can't tell me that he was at his best last night. He just had nothing, absolutely nothing.

It was almost as if he was on drugs. He just looked out of it from the first bell. In the corner he wasn't even there, his mind was somewhere else.

I gotta say I think it was a similar situation to when Lewis fought Rahman the first time. He had been distracted filming Oceans 11 and wasn't in shape and paid the price.

I have to say I think it was similar with Antonio last night. He looked terrible, flabby tits, no energy, just awful.

I agree, but I actually thought that would be the case, it's really not that strange if you think about the amount of weight he put on and lost, at his age. I also don't think Tarver has anywhere near the kind of gym habits or focus as Bhop does and obviously didn't prepare as rigirously for this fight. It's not totally like Lewis Rahman either, because Lennox didn't have to lose the weight, and Rahman sucks... I think it's fairly clear last night that Bhop is simply a better fighter than Tarver, this hasn't been Tarvers only weak performance... He sucked against Roy in the third fight, he had very little against Glen Johnson either fight, w

im happy for hopkins but at the same time i was pretty sad for Tarver...
He just wanted to be the best man, and i know how it feels when you don't quiet reach your goals.
    Hope Tarver continues, good luck
