Estes Park, CO
elevation 7,500 ft.
The last town before you enter Rocky Mountain National Park. Home to the Stanley Hotel (where Stephen King wrote the Shining), which doesn't exactly look creepy during the day in the summer.

Looks like it was a lot of fun Killer. I loved the pics of the Rockies National Park (I think that's what it's called) you posted on Facebook.
I really want to go there now.

I really enjoyed looking at those photos, some really fantastic scenery there.
I would love to get out there one day and see it all for myself.

Yeah, I was in Banff when I was 19 or so. I went along with some friends on a road trip to Alberta and we stopped there. It's a bit ritzy, but Lake Louise was absolutely stunning. If you're into nature etc and you're coming to Canada, you should consider taking a trip to the west side of Vancouver Island if you're coming anywhere near here. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Painted Desert, AZ
elevation:5,800 ft.
One of the unique places in Arizona. multicolored badlands. The Cholla cactus seen below only blooms for 2 weeks out of the entire year, so we lucked out seeing it.

Highest Point Rainbow Curve 11,000 ft.
Highest temp. (again was at home) Mesa, AZ 109 degrees f

Awesome photos! The only thing missing in the desert pics is a UFO.
I owe you some rep for sharing the moment.
Would you be okay with me using one as my desktop wallpaper?

Nice. I always like a good scenery pic. I particularly liked the look of Vail, CO. Also, #4 of Monument Valley, it almost looked like erosion has carved the design in the shape of a person.

If we do the Northwest trip next year, we will be doing Seattle, Vancouver, Banff, Calgary, Glacier Park, Missoula
If we do the Southwest trip we will do Las Vegas, Great Basin Park, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff.
So if we do end up heading to your neck of the woods, I will try to hit up Victoria and get a tour from ya. It really depends on how we are doing financially.
