I remember also after the second Pryor fight, he was in floods of tears, acknowledging his retirement and he turned to Pryor on front of the TV cameras and said in broken English (he was very emotional) "anything I can ever do for you or your family let me know."

Alexis Arguello was one of my all time favorites as well. There wasn't a classier boxer in or out of the ring. I loved watching him fight, and his losses to Pryor, although classics now, were very sad for me. Matter of fact, Alexis was beloved right here in Puerto Rico, even though he twice beat hometown favorite Alfredo "El Salsero" Escalera in a couple of grueling, bloody fights.

Boxing truly lost one of the sport's greatest ambassadors, and I am truly saddened. Every time there was a thread about favorite fighters, Arguello's name was one of the first to pop into my head.

Alexis, you'll be missed.
