I would love to meet and see the GREATEST boxer of all time,ut with this fucked up recession we have over here in england its more or less impossible to even consider it.If the ticket prices dropped a bit,say £300-£350 then that would change my mind. Its a MASSIVE kick in the knackers for us brits who are finding it hard just to afford something decent to eat never mind spending a fortune on a LEGEND like ALI.its a real shame that he could'nt come over when the recession was over and done with!!
IM GUTTED,UNLESS THE PRICES DROP
HE IS A TRUE LEGEND AND I WOULD DO BACKFLIPS IF I WAS TO SEE HIM
I wouldn't even bother with the cheap seats... I'd want to meet the guy and have a picture to remember it/show off.
I've just spent £2800 on a training course that I need to do in order to work/be insured as a self employed/free lance personal trainer to tide me over until my Fire Service placement FINALLY (!!! >:|) starts and then so I can earn a little bit of extra money on one of my days off.
So it's pretty important and could affect the rest of my life... if not at least long term future... but if you'd told me about Ali 2-3 weeks ago I'd be contemplating whether the money would be better spend towards 15 minutes with the guy...![]()

£400 seems a rip off to me and no offence but he ain't gonna be doing a great deal really is he?
Was the first fighter i ever saw in the flesh as a toddler.
Think my mum still has the pic somewhere.
He came to Southampton as a World Champ and opened a Supermarket believe it or notand my Dad took us down there.

been chatting with a couple of mates this weekend about the Ali visit
At 500 to meet the guy it would have been still a bit steep but would have gone for it - 1250 (excluding VAT !) is just ridiculous.
But as Adam says - 400 for the cheap seats. If I went I would want a pic to show I had met the guy for sure.
Will see how they sell....
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Was tempted before I seen the prices. An absolute rip off and money making scam off his name.
£400 to look at a man who I hate to say is probably a mere husk of his former glory...
If I can't shake his hand/speak with him then I'd rather watch a fight/documentary about him for free than pay £400 sit and look at him with a bunch of rich arseholes who likely know very little about Ali himself... let alone boxing.
I like how they' glossing it up with a 4 course meal etc... that totally makes it seem like a better deal...
Anybody who has worked in a resturaunt/hotel etc knows how much of a mark up and how cheap food is... will barely cost them anything.
I would pay to meet Ali... but whilst Ali is bigger than Evander Holyfield is - I paid NOTHING to see Holyfield, shake his hand, say hello, get an autograph and a photo with him... so lets put it into perspective.
I'm not paying 400 quid for a shit meal with what will most likely be a bunch of twats just to get a glimpse of Ali.

Primarily Tyne and Wear but also Durham, Northumberland, Cleveland etc.
The destruction bit doesn't sound too bad!Joking aside a mate of mine was telling me about controlling a fire in some abonded flats via demolion... I can't remember the purpose exactly, smashing certain walls to try and control the spread of the fire/oxygen etc or something... sounded like fun... put a sledge hammer in my hands and I'm a happy boy...

p.s. your name suggested to me that you were an overweight paratrooper...![]()
