B-Hop was holding more than Ruiz in this fight and hardly thrown any combos. Easy to look good against slow Tarver last night. Let B-Hop fight a top Euro guy as Calzaghe, Adam or Kessler and we will be able to messure his real strenght.

Hopkins was just Manhandleing him and Bullying him around all nite....I hate when people call Hopkins boring...I say congrats and Fuk the haters..The truth is a slick crafty tough as nails and defensive minded 41 yearold who is a HOF'er and oh by the way leaves a legacy of consistency and longevity in a young mans sport...He can still add 2+2 and get through a sentence without slurring his speech like a drunken sailor with a family millions of dollars and partners in a flourshing promotional company.....I would say that determined son of a bitch got his and made the most out of it....GOOD FOR HIM!!
I couldn't have said/posted it better ...I owe you a cc my friend....

this crap again.....how can you throw out Adam and Kessler? they don't deserve to be in the same sentance as B-HOP!! they haven't proved anything yet...their level of competition is sub-par and are outclassed....These two fighters haven't proved themselves worthy of a shot...and Kessler wasn't even in B-HOPs weight class.... as for Joe Cal...his hand might end his career TODAY!!! I think a Joe C/B-HOP fight would have been awesome!!!!!!! but we might have already seen the end of Joe Calzaghe.....shame too.... loved seeing him fight...wanted to see him feed Kessler his own A** and quiet all these Kessler fans....
It feels good to be back home.

Please stop taking up good board space and littering it with constant Kessler opinions and bantering...No comparison between B-hop the HALL OF FAMER and Mikel Kessler the unproven!!!

So Adam or Kessler is not worthy of facing B-hop, but Howard Eastman and Morrade Hakkar were?

after last night it is clear to anyone that Hopkins and Tarver are over the hill. The punch rate was pathetic. THe accuracy was worse. Garbage.

how is that clear? Bhop did what he's been doing forever and in the same fashion....tarver was weight drained and weak...but shhhh we can't say that because it will make him look like the lucky bastard that KO'ed RJJ....

Hopkins was simply superb. Tarver had no answers. Agree that it may time for Bhop to retire whilst on top but from a selfish boxing fans point of view I would love to see him in action again. He really turned back the years last night...Awesome.

I do dare ask does this raise the public opinion of Roy Jones(cause of the extreme weight loss)? or does it hurt it because B-hop walked through Tarver like he was an amateur??
No, but it makes Roy greater then he gets credit for. I think after that we should respect Roy more. Look at it this way

Roy went up and actually FOUGHT at Heavyweight anc won the championship up there, he moved down and lost all muscle to fight the natural Light Heavyweight champion tarver. Was weakened and flat, and HE STILL WON THE FIGHT.

    contrast that

Tarver "films a movie" as a Heavyweight, not even a real fight.

He moves down to fight the Middleweight Hopkins going up to Tarvers weight class. And he loses badly.

I don't think Roy gets the credit he deserves for winning that first fight

Kudos to Hopkins for shutting Tarver up. Didn't Tarver say he'd be the "laughing stock of boxing if he let the smaller man bully him." Well.... consider it a haha from me to you Antonio

Agreed!!! to me this beating will be talked bout more than Lacy's..Even though punishment wise its not comparable but Lacy didnt shoot his mouth off as bad as Tarver did plus no one likes the guy, when he entered the ring I never heard that many boo's by the crowd, it was like watching a pro wrestling villian getting razzed by the audience... I love it and have been waiting a long time for this...BYE ANTONIO!!!
