I think Carl will take this fight hands down, but I dont know about Kessler its a lot more complicated than simply Carl just wanting the fight. I doubt that Kesslers promotion team will let him go over to England again, and I dont think Carl will want to travel to his homeground after just winning the biggest win of his career. Carl needs another fight at home IMO, I think Allan Green is a very likely fight for him in Nottingham, as much as I want a Kessler fight I just dont see it happening
Mikkel Kessler is a good fighter but im not sure just how good he is, his two best wins are against the limited Librado Andrade, who is good but is limited skill wise. And against Anthony Mundine who is also good but not elite, and he just about beat Anthony Mundine by a few points.
He got pretty much embarrased by Joe Calzaghe after the 4th round, i don't think Mikkel Kessler has fully proven himself yet. And he may well be there for the taking i haven't seen his comeback fights, because frankly i haven't been interested.
When the hell is he going to step it up ? at this point after Lucian Bute beats Librado Andrade again, i think Lucian Bute vs Carl Froch should happen. I've been saying for ages Lucian Bute is the darkhorse of the division, and he could well be the best Super Middleweight at the moment.
But compare Kessler's win over Andrade to Bute's, Kessler beat the bejeezus out of Andrade, it was just a credit to him that he kept coming and didn't get knocked out. I know outside of the last round Bute fairly well handled Andrade but not like Kessler did and you can't discount the fact that most refs would have stopped the fight in the 12th (even though I didn't think it was as egregious as some did.)
And I thought he beat Mundine comfortably and acquited himself pretty well against Calzaghe.
What he's done since Calzaghe though is ridiculous although he's supposed to have some promotional issues.
Froch's better than I thought in his own bizarre way but if Kessler's the same fighter he was he handles him.
kessler no way hammered mundine
Rule bute out of the picture here straight away, both men would hammer him into submission and he should stick to looking for a fight with pascal, diaconu.
Froch-Kessler would be great IF it happened in the us. If it happens in germany, denmark carl willl just be thrown to the lions and every single ref, judge etc will be sauerland employed!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
