Roach now has the WBA light-welterweight title in his sights; once that mission is accomplished he wants Khan to put another Mexican great to the sword. “I would like to see Amir make his American debut soon. They would love him over in America,” he said, before adding. “I am looking at maybe Erik Morales, when he makes his comeback. That is who I’d like to go against next, or guys of that nature. I have the new ‘Mexican Assassin’ in Amir.”

I would like him to die soon.

Khan needs to fight names they can sell on British PPV but who won't threaten his china chin and Morales fits right into that category

if the shot that dropped Diaz in the first round against Morales was done to Khan, he wouldn't of gotten up, sorry but this is pathetic, Morales has no reason to step into the ring again, and Roach even implying that he'd like Khan to fight Morales at 140 pretty much shows he doesn't have much faith in him

Roach is proving that a little success and mainstage Pac has given him, he is succumbing to a measure of douchebaggery.

Pandering for catchweights and draining star fighters

Training Margarito when suspension is lifted

Now trying to shine up Kahn with a faded Morales

So he plans on fighting a string of smaller, older, extremely shop worn fighters?

    Naseem Hamed? Is that you?

it really is starting to get a bit silly, if this fight happens i couldnt stand the hype in this country if he did beat morales(i could just about handle barrera), the british press would claim khan to be the greatest ever, i really couldnt stand it

If some of you guys becalling and trying to ridicule Freddie Roach actually had half the courage and determination he has, you'd be far better men than you are showing yourselves to be here now. Despite his physical disabilities Freddie is still one of the premier boxing trainers in the world today. Freddie has faith in Amir Khan lets give him a chance to see what he can do. Freddie believes in Tony Margarito, so do I, I hope they do get together soon.
You know guys sitting behind a puter screen becalling and attempting to insult other people doesnt make you look macho it only makes you look childish. If you fancy yourselves lets see you get the gloves on & get in the ring and see what you've got OK??

    I disagree 100%

Parkinsons isint the issue, the issue is Roach is making himself out to look like a sell out and opportunist

So let me ask you this, pandering for catchweight fights for the top 2 welters in the world even though he fought DLH at 147 and sais he would fight Floyd at 147 isint hypocritical

Trying to match Kahn against a faded Morales and trying to pass it off like a legitimate test is upright to you?

Training Ol brick gloves, who deserves a lifetime ban for organized assault with deadly weapons and shouldnt be even seen with any reputable trainer, dosent make you shrug your shoulders

    Cmon man

With all due respect and not a personal attack on you; I don't care if Roach believes in Margarito; I think it's a stupid move to take on a guy who put men's lives in danger; in a sport that already puts men's lives in danger as soon as they lace up. It sets a bad precedent imo and basically says it's ok to cheat, someone will be waiting for you if and when you get caught. I stopped believing in Margarito when he got caught; because I always believed him to be a fair fighter.

Either Tony knew about that stuff in his gloves and didn't care; or he was too stupid to pay attention, which is reckless. Tony was one of my fave current as well as all time fighters; but he shouldn't be allowed back in the ring. I don't care about his livelyhood because he didn't seem to care about the guys he faced off against and their well being, or the consequences it could have had on their families. Maybe he only did it that one time, or maybe for a long time. Either way he can starve to death for all I care.

It's obvious Roach is losing his mind. A great trainer; but I'm astonished e would put his name on the line to coddle a cheat.

wouldn't be shocked if he called up McCullough for a favor and put him in there against Khan, then when Amir stops him, he'll be all, "Khan is the first person to clearly KO McCullough"

Or how about Hamed? He's also a former champ and as fat as Morales.
