It's pretty obvious that you can't be objective here. Smiling because he thought it was easy? Any boxing fan knows that a boxer's smile is false bravado 99% of the time. He smiled because he wanted to give the impression that it was well under control. He knew and every impartial viewer knew he had to dig deep in the championship rounds to pull it out.

Remember when Prince Naseem used to grin like an idiot every time he was caught flush? It sure wasn't an indication that he was having an easy time of it. Even as a huge Cotto fan, you can admit that the guy is all business. Smiling is not something he does during a fight. When he does do it, something's not right.
Like I said I'm done trying to convince him otherwise He won't be objective when Cotto is involved
(Pro fights should be scored on the more telling hits first though ).
then work rate ,ring generalship ,heart etc etc and last of all hits that just land but dont do damage or change the pattern of the fight at that moment.
Im just wondering "IF" those are the taken standards ,would it change (your) perspective on the result at all ?
Sounds like if the fight was judged on amature standards of clean strikes only PAulie may have won it on more strikes then ??.
I will tell you this much. I would bet money on Malignaggi if a rematch if it ever happened Thats all. When Paulie tried to slug with Cotto was when he had trouble, but when he stepped back and boxed Cotto looked average at best and people are saying that Cotto was laying off Malignaggi but I seriously doubt that, he had no trouble moving in on Branco did he

Tell you what, let a rematch happen, and when Malignaggi wins you'll be richer
