    LOL...If you say so.

I got into a bad fight with my ex one night and she was throwing the tv and breaking glasses and all; I just sat there and watched her. She had been boiling eggs and it was still in the pan on the stove. She picked it up and wound back her arm and I really thought she would throw it; she knew I wouldn't hit a girl, but I told her "if you try to throw that on my face you'll never get past your shoulder before I open you up like a pinata". Luckily for her she didn't; that stuff would have fried my face and I'd of looked like Rocky from Mask. I did hit my sister once when I was 12 but she asked for it

    Great story I know

I believe in equal opportunity for all. isn't that what western society is all about? Equal treatment of women? If a woman hits a man first I believe it is not wrong of the man to hit her. For all we know Gatti's wife assaulted him first and he returned the favor. If a man hits another man first and the man that was hit retaliates it's okay, but if the scenario happens with a woman it is not.

I remember this incident that happened years ago where a couple was getting into an argument at the mall and then the female hits the male saying things like, "you punkass bitch I know you ain't got what it takes to hit me, fukk you!" She continue hitting him another 4 or 5 times in the face and then she said that she was sleeping with his best friend and said he was bigger down there than him, the next thing you know she got laid out from a straight right cross! All of the guys that were watching applauded.

I believe if you hit another person first, male or female, you deserve to get checked.

I can't be bothered to reply to some people individually so I'l post it here.

You men must really hate women? No sooner as the rumours come out you start saying some women are mental & deserve to get hit...no thought that he may have been a nutter, no, it was all down to her.

For gods sake, if its true that he used to knock her about it's worse because he's a boxer, you're trained to hurt people and you're trained to be control of that aggression.

I assume we can agree that hitting anyone (outside of boxing, mma, etc) is generally considered not the thing to do?

If you're are saying it's ok to punch a woman in the face - which some of you are - is it ok to punch a kid in the face?

Most men are stronger than most women. More men hit women than women hit men. Most women are murdered by boyfriends and ex's. Those are facts.

I know one women whose husband broke her nose by bashing her face on the floor. I know someone who kicked his pregnant girlfriend about - but that was ok because kicking wasn't 'hitting'.

Women can of course be violent towards men? People relationships can be strange but if anyone starts to see signs of someone being jealous/controlling, watch your step because that added to drink can lead to a world of trouble.

If she had suffered years of abuse I can understand how she could snap and react like that.

Seriously though, it doesn't justify murder. Reports suggest it was calculated too. I see where you are coming from, but there are better ways of dealing with it. She could have pretty much ruined her own life if she did this.

It's never okay to hit a woman, but likewise it's never okay to hit a man either. We don't know the ins and outs of Gattis relationship with his wife, but it would seem that it was volatile.

If he did indeed hit her then it is her responsibility to get out of the relationship. To turn around and kill him like that is just plain wrong though. That is if what we are hearing does indeed turn out to be true.

There is no excuse for violence. If she was enduring his abuse for some time then bigger fool her for not getting out of it and using legal means to do so.

There are NO excuses for this kind of behaviour.

premeditation is something I have issues with. You're not dealing with someone in a 'normal' state of mind.

There have been many cases of abuse where the woman has struck back several hours after an episode of violence & that's what people have trouble understanding, if they were in the middle of a row, he hit her and she picked up a knife and stabbed him people would say ok it was wrong but y'know in the heat of the moment/she was defending herself....

People aren't thinking straight lots of people are mentally in something similar to shock. Many don't remember what they thought, what they did or even why they did it.

...& it continues, it was her fault she got hit she should have left.

Thankfully many of you don't understand because you've not had to deal with domestic violence.

If Gatti did abuse her, of course that is wrong, but it still doesn't justify premeditated murder.

I think the planning is a huge part of the thought process my friend years ago suffered violent abuse for 9 years 3 kids later, many hospital stays and advise to leave him from her friends, she thought the only way out was for her to kill him she never did but was always planning to on a daily basis.
In this case we dont know how she or for that matter he suffered as some women are more violent then men i guess it will all come out when it goes to trial.

The problem is the legal definition of premediation & psychological definition don't really match up...it's why so many serial killers end up on death row rather than in mental hospitals which is where I think they should be.

In no way do I condone hitting a woman in any way, especially if you are a trained fighter but the whole Marley thing is what bothers me, he went about it all wrong and fed on the tib bits of info like a vulture

    Very classless
