would it of been impossible for vitali to of continued against Bryd?

i agree Lewis hits harder than haye but haye should be more aggressive

His shoulder was prettyt much shot cant remember if he had surgery or not but I remember it was useless at that point...

    But again...

Haye is not the boxer Byrd was and it will be easier to find haye with the jab
I'm not bashing Vitali for quitting but..........

Danny Williams is a brave fighter no doubt but still there was no reasonj to continue with that injury he was risking permemnent damage

Danny never did know when to quit

Danny Williams the one armed boxer.

Where did THAT Danny Williams go? The exciting one with head movement and a good jab. The Danny Williams that wouldnt have been dominated so heavily by Vitali and knocked out by Harrison in 3 rounds or however long it was. Where was the Danny Williams that fought with one arm.. no won with one arm lol And is it me or did he all of a sudden become a better fighter when that arm left him?

    Lets see here:

Haye is moving up from Cruiserweight where he beat mediocre opposition at best to become undisputed champ, has a shaky defense, comes in wild and throws looping punches, has power unproven at heavyweight, and has stamina issues.....oh yeah and doesnt have the best punch resistance....

Vitali - has never been down or even hurt from a punch (spagetti legged), patient, calculating, has solid technique, utilizes the jab well, has very good power, mentally tough, size and reach advantage....

I am not saying Vitali is by any means one of the best HW's of all time but he will steam roll Haye inside 5. I think Haye can possibly win a decision if he dances, moves, and uses punch and go. The problem is Haye has questionable stamina and gets drawn into wild exchanges and he will lose this battle.....

First off let's not get on Vitali for hurting his shoulder vs Chris Byrd....Evander Holyfield fought through a torn rotator cuff and it didn't do his career any favors. ALSO Vitali redeemed himself by that gutsy performance he gave vs Lennox Lewis.

And not to disagree with you Hunter, but both Corrie Sanders and Lennox Lewis hurt Vitali....he never went down, but they both caught him pretty flush and vs Lennox he held on and vs Sanders he got a little wobbley. But this is erroneous because David Haye isn't on their level in regards of punching power.

Haye has to avoid ALL of Vitali's power punches and Vitali is very accurate and measured in his approach so it's going to be difficult for David Haye to do...it would have been more difficult for Haye to beat Wladimir because he would have to get past that jab and that just wasn't going to happen.

I'm hoping Vitali scores a Pacquiao-Hatton/Henderson-Bisping type KO...but he's more apt to just beat David Haye up for a while

Iv'e always rated Wladimir Klitschko as the better boxer out of the two brothers.
Even way back when we were debating the outcome of a JFAT-VK or JFAT-WK fight, i always figured Toney would have a much better chance against Vitali than Wladimir...

I say this because i actually think Vitali is a almost a piss poor boxer. Its a shame there isn't a single Sharp-Shooting Heavyweight with enough stamina to last 12 rounds. Cause that's all it would take to beat Vitali.

Sanders didn't quite have it and i'm afraid Haye doesn't either.

The thing is, Haye doesn't necessarily have to be the Knock-out artist everyone thinks he needs to be against Vitali.

What he needs to be is ready to move in, move out, sharp-shoot, move out, move in, move out, sharp shoot for 12 long rounds.

Haye just aint got that in the bag. I say Vitali by 7 round TKO

Funny you mention Sanders. Sanders that got into that fight out of shape as possible got to Vitali a lot easier then I'd have expected him to. If thats any indication then Haye may get to Vitali as well but will be in shape. The question is if Haye can take Vitali's punches the same way Sanders could. I'm not sure he would
