So all of JMM's hard training and time, is just a waste of time ? despite JMM not getting any younger ? and he only probably has a few good ones left in him ? you know i said who i should root for before ? i think i'll go with JMM now, hes had to work hard to get where he is, he never ducks anyone.

And he has been in some great fights and he's a pleasure to watch, the great technical fighting is a thing of beauty. And P4P wise this is actually the best fighter Floyd Mayweather has ever fought, and i've seen strange upsets happen, especially with Floyd Mayweather's lay off.
It is a huge insult and it's just getting annoying listening to Floyd spout his spiel over and over again.

Marquez is getting on and has a bout 3 fights left in him. And here is Mayweather trying to diss a fight that he himself has already signed up for and already cancelled once.

Floyd signed up thinking it was easy money and isn't so happy now that sales aren't so good. What a dumbass! I hope Marquez does a real number on him.

Please note: These were not racist comments. Furthermore, I hope Mayweather gets brutally knocked out without the accumulation of any brain damage.

    Good.

Im so pissed at these faggots are making their demands, Ruining the sport.
I feel sorry for Marquez, he should start looking for someone else to fight straight away.

    Maybe Hatton

    Either way. Fuk Money!

"Bob Arum, insists on a 50-50 purse split. Mayweather stressed that won't happen"

Does he honestly thinks he is entitled to a bigger purse or is he just pricing himself out like I thought he would?

The gerbils might absorb most of the impact

Funny, like someone mentioned, how Floyd isn't as big of a draw as he thought. I feel bad for JMM because he's such a great fighter, but it is funny to see Floyd fidgeting and his "star" power seems to have broken through the atmosphere and is fixing to crash and burn.

Anyways; can someone tell me: if JMM doesn't want to take the pay-off $$$, can he just refuse and Floyd has to fight him? How much of JMM's earnings will be dictated by PPV buys?

On the other hand, he did basically call Pac out straight up. Granted it's because of the money but he doesn't really ever call anyone out, and calling out the up-for-debate #1 P4P fighter has to give Floyd some credit, no?
He could have waited till after the Pacquiao-Hatton fight and done it, instead of signing to fight JMM. Alternatively, he could have done it after the JMM fight. I think with him referring to himself as 'the cash cow', the poor ticket sales have clearly dented his ego.
AS i said in my post, it's a complete insult.. not saying that the fashion he called him out was respectful, but simply the action of calling him out.. that's all.

No I knew what you meant. Its just I'm not sure he deserves credit for calling him out. He could have done that earlier, but i guess thats hindsight for you. Floyd should just stick to his guns and fight Marquez. It'll do a decent PPV number. I can't imagine boxing fans not wanting to watch Floyd fight.

TBH I will be watching for my interest in Marquez rather than any interest in Floyd. Floyd has had his fair of mediocre fights in recent years and the interest has probably been more about the opposition than him.

Same here. I have tremendous respect for Floyd's abilities, but I only ever watch to see him lose Obviously that never happened nor will it anytime soon. Hope is a lesson in futility.

    I'll watch but I won't buy it; I'll find a stream.

so the hype job is now in full swing. The money in our pockets is tighter so they just have to pull a little bit harder. I know everyone hates to hear it (and most even tired of seeing it which makes it so much easier to sell) but floyd outside of p Williams beats these guys easy. And that the hero people pray to beat him are little guys as opposed to the oscar and baldomir days when everyone thought for sure that was the way just makes it easier for him. It's PAC one min shane the next tony someone else after that. How much money he sucks out of us wishing for him to loose is the only real question

Floyds maybe trying to make a lot of noise but no one is listening anymore, he is looking like a desperate clown who nobody needs.

Well, people are listening. But it does sound kind of desperate.

Floyd needs to beat Marquez. There is no other way out for him really. Everytime Floyd opens his mouth, another part of the world starts supporting Marquez.

    Quite funny really!

I come to a couple of conclusions based on Floyd's comments:

    1. Floyd really wants to fight Manny. I mean, Floyd is practically begging Manny to fight him for two reasons: a. It seems like Floyd knows he can beat Manny; b. Floyd will make a lot of money (I have a suspicion that Floy's financial problems are real, no matter his denials).
    2. Floyd will make more money fighting Manny than fighting Cotto. If Cotto beats Manny, then the fight that should happen is Cotto-Mayweather. I don't think this fight will get Floyd excited financially and may never be made. Of course, it will be another example of Floyd looking out for himself instead of endearing himself to the fans.

Floyd's great to watch in the ring at times and a truly great fighter but lets face it he's a douche bag outside of it, I think even his biggest fans can admit that. How much of it is an act is the question.

But I wouldn't get too upset about Floyd saying Manny's not getting 50/50, of course he's gonna say that, he's all ego, but negotiations haven't even started, let's just see what happens. I don't think either guy will go under 50 percent but they'd have to be idiots to pass up the money on the table even at 50/50. Don't get me wrong, its not completely unlikely that they'll act like dumb shits but we'll see.

It's just Floyd making his mouth go. It's a really dumb thing to say in the middle of a promotion.

I usually stick up for PBF, but here he's just being a douche. Plus I don't think he has "pay to step aside" money right now.

This is not a good marketing ploy for the current fight either, who's gonna read that and say damn I want to see PBF/JMM now?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
