England look like they've made it through. Not bad, could have been better.

I'm done for the day. Knackered!

You have to laugh, England are shite!!

Why the fuck is Steve Harmison not in the team? His performance in the warm up game against the Auzzies proved he is our best experienced bowler to have out there, Anderson Broad are just second rate bowlers imo, id actully have Sidebottom and Harmison in for Broad and Onions.

Dont get me started about Bopara first off if he has to be in the team which he shouldnt be he is not a number three, scoring test hundreds against West Indies teams who I thought were a disgrace to there country the way they played against England, i think they proved how much they were arsed about the tour of England with there current situation they are going through, Bopara has failed again against the better teams in test cricket, Ian Bell is a better number three or four for me, if Bopara fails to score any runs in the second innings he needs to be dropped.

I like Flintoff as a man and hes not a bad cricketer but as I have stated before most over rated player cricket has ever seen hes a half decent bowler thats it with a poor average at the top level. I dont know why he decided to announce his retirement now.

Australia will win this series with quite average team which is a shame.

Fair comments Skel, pretty much agree with everything you say there.

Good start getting a wicket this early, but I'm cringing a little at what might be instore as the day progresses. England have this great knack of doing something pretty decent and spending the rest of the time making amends by truly fucking things up! It's frustrating.

current lead of 270 odd with only cook gone once again playing all around an ordinary delivery and getting out plum lbw.

Big innings for bopara now, if he gets out cheaply again here he`ll be letting the likes of bell and shah back in which no england cricket fan truly wants. Always had high hopes bell would be a star with the bat and average around 50 but it just never came off.

Harmison will surely play in the 3rd test for either onions or broad if he carrys on with this form.

Jimmy Anderson has confirmed his status as a world class cricketer in this match

England should really press on today and take advantage of the good conditions. If they can build up to about 300 by the close of play then Australia will have it all to do.

    Strauss gone now.....

very dangerous time in the game now.

England need to be kicking on to 520 odd as the lords pitch tends to get easier during the 4th and 5th days and we all know with ponting, clarke and katich in the side they can easily make a monster score.

If pietersen gets out in the next 45 hour or so the aussies will believe they are back in the game

Still looking firm, it's slowed down a bit and these two are struggling more....but still there. Would like them to be scoring faster than this really.
