Sanders had 1-2 rounds of real fight in him....other than that he just swung wildly and Vitali used head movement and footwork to keep out of his way. Of course Vitali knew Sanders was out of shape and he got caught because he wasn't careful enough...he corrected himself and the rest of the fight was a shut out. Lennox Lewis got to Vitali using size and strength and STILL couldn't put him down (that was a GREAT fight IMO, pure action from the get go, both guys gunning for the KO).
We really haven't seen David take a big punch at heavyweight, he's fought a total of 6 rounds at heavyweight, and we can't tell if he takes a punch better when he's not cutting weight or if he's stronger or anything...all we know is he can beat up on bums. I don't think stopping Monte Barrett in the 5th round is all that great of an accomplishment considering where his career was at that point, the very sad thing is that David Haye seriously thought #1 Monte Barrett was a "dangerous and household name fighter" (David's words not mine) and #2 That beating him meant something.
Haye hasn't had to deal with many durable opponents no matter the weight class....I guess you could throw Carl Thompson out there but hell Vitali has seldom been hurt, never been down, and only lost on account of injuries so my prediction is unless Vitali injures himself then David Haye WILL get KO'd...that's just going with the odds. Vitali doesn't have to bring his A game to beat David Haye, but Haye has to be great AND Vitali has to have an off night for Haye to get a win.
leftylee, out of 39 fights Vitali has lost 2 fights due to injury (that's a FACT), he has won 37 fights....36 by KO, so no, I don't like David Haye's chances to bother Vitali or go the distance much less to win the fight. A funny thing you guys might notice about the guys the Klitschko's fight, when those poor souls get caught with their first right cross, you can see them trying to shake out the cobwebs right afterwards.
