Earlier on he could have, the times he fought at Welter it's clear to see that he wasn't near the size of a true Welter... in his later career he was tight at 140 because of abuse... not his statature.

I've seen bigger Lws... look at Urango compared to ricky etc.

Could Manny Pacquio ever get back down to 106 again? No because he grew up the weights.

The fact that Hatton could eat so many pies between training camps and stay at 140 shows that he wasn't THAT tight at the weight.

to balloon up that often and then boil down to your lowest possible weight just isn't maintainable.

I misunderstood the question, yeah early in his career he probably could have, but he would have grown into a LWW. If he lived a Spartan lifestyle he wouldn't have had such difficulty making the weight for the Pac fight. Not that it would have made much of a difference. He might have lasted another half a round.

Agreed with most people he could of but only early in his career. It would of made for a better Ricky Hatton if he was not losing weight all the time imo.

The fact that he never, ever fought at Lightweight. Not even early in his career pretty much shows he never could make the weight
