sat down and watched the 1st fight again and actually welled up a bit at the end.

Damn, watching that brutal 9th round, where Gatti went down with the body shot, and found a way to survive that round, and then come back the way he did in the 10th, is breath taking.

During those 2 rounds, tears are flowing big time, and my heart was pounding from the beauty of it all.

First thing I watched when I heard of this tragedy last week. There are so many more great Gatti moments though that you could dedicate a full week to the man. Even in heavy defeat such as against PBF his fights were entertaining and boxing could only benefit from having a guy like Gatti representing it.

Those 2 could of slugged it out another 9 times and it would never of become boring.

Castillo-Corrales, Marquez-Vasquez great great feuds. But gatti-ward in my lifetime im pretty sure will never be beat!!

Okay, I have officially moved the tissue box from the bathroom to the coffee table. I got tired of getting up to get them.

Damn, watching Micky survive that 3rd round of the 2nd fight is amazing.

Okay, it's the end of the 2nd fight, and what was just tears flowing, is now starting to become a sob.

What really set the sobbing off, is after the 9th round, Buddy said to Gatti, "can you give me 3 more minutes?", to which Gatti yelled "yes sir!". That sums Gatti up, a man that shows respect, and a man that gives 3 more minutes.

Personally in my lifetime (since 1984) the only trilogies that match up to Gatti-Ward are Barrera-Morales and Bowe-Holyfield. I have spells of each being my favourite but all in all I can't seperate them.

I am a complete wreck right now. I was crying so hard at the end, I actually had a snot bubble come out of my nose.

I need a pick me up. I think that I'll pop in Cotto vs Gomez. I need to see Gomez take punishment for ending Gatti's career.

How fitting for me, that my man gives Gomez a good beating in AC, in front of Gatti, and that Gatti gives Cotto a diamond encrusted key necklace after the fight, as symbolic gesture of giving him the key to AC.
