Would be close, Khans to fast for them and has the power to knock Margarito out. Plus he carries his weight up well and MG is slow as hell.

WHAT!?!?! has the power to knock Margarito out!?!?! that is absurd. Khan did these pitter patter combos all night. Yes he is fast but be real here I am sorry but that is just the stupidest thing I have ever heard. A man who was taking bombs from Cotto and not knocked down and you say Khan can do it, give me a break

I can see Mg chasing down Khan all night getting completly exhausted by the 10th. Khan throws a fast combination which stagers margarito for the first time in the fight due too tirdness and swineflu. Margarito fails to exit hios corner in the 11th

If have said nothing which is not probable. We all know margarito is mexican and swineflu originally came from there. Amir khans dads union jack waistcoat has a secret pocket containing tamiflu and other anti-viral drugs which he will administor to khan during the 7th round whilst margerito will be progessivley be weakened by the disease.

Khan's speed and range was always going to be the factor in this fight.For me Kotelnik did'nt do enough,he never really moved his head much or bob and weave.He stayed in Khans top range all the bloody time and he was;nt cutting the ring off to corner Khan.What pissed me off was Kotelnik corner did'nt seem to give the right advice to him until it was far too late,for me he should have upped the tempo in round 7 and onwards after losing the first 6 rounds!!

Alright they bud,Hatton would have a great chance on KO'ing Khan no doubt.Hatton would just charge him down and cut off Khan escape route.I was'nt too interested when i heard Khan would fight Hatton,but the more i think about the fight happening the more i like the sound of it.It would drew loads of people and would pack out any big stadium over here in the uk.I would go and watch it Live.It would be a great send off for Hatton

The most impressive thing about Kahn for me was his stamina, fair dues, he went 12 rounds and although according to punchstats his output dropped his movement at the end was fluid and effective.

Bilbo mentioned earlier in the thread that the 140lb division isn't that imposing - Kahn has noone to be afraid of.
I think he ommitted Torres and Holt from his consideration and I feel they both would relieve Kahn of his senses.
There's also Pacquiao, Hatton and Witter at the weight, so I'll find it interesting to see where Warren directs him next.

I think he should avoid any of the top dogs and the power punchers for a few years. Maybe even relinquish his belt, and fight a couple out of Alvarado, Bailey or even Bradley. Keep busy and hone his skills. I don't think anyone can doubt there has been an improvement since he went with Freddie.

His chin looked a little bit more solid at 140. I didn't think he was troubled at any point and even though Kotelnik isn't a huge puncher he does have a bit of power and is a full blown light-welter. Maybe shades of Miguel Cotto who's chin was quite bad at 140 but good at 147. Bit too early to tell but the signs last night we're quite promising (unless you're Miles and you want to see him brutally knocked out).

He's 22 at the end of the day, he's still learning. There is no rush whatsoever. As for him mainly hitting gloves last night i should point out that he still landed more than double of what Kotelnik landed. He didn't have to change what he was doing because he was winning quite comfortably. Kotelnik was the one who had to change but he could never get to grips with Khan's speed and movement and as a result, he couldn't do anything.

All in all a good solid win. Kotelnik is a good quality fighter, probably up there with the best at 140 (apart from Pac) so to completely dominate him at 22 is decent.

So does that make Soleymane M'Baye decent ? I mean he beat Kotelnik TWICE.
