It also took Hatton 39 fights to fight for a world title, Kahn did it nearly in half the time.
Kahn won a silver medal at the olympics and has been fast tracked to a world title. Hatton had to go the long route central area champ, wbo,wba intercontinental belts, british belt. Then hatton made the wbu title his own defending it against good and bad opposition. My point is kahn won a world title yes but he would need 39 fights to go in against someone as dangereouse as kostya. By his own admission he said he is not in marquez class the true lightweight world champ. So his easiest route to a title kotelnick. Crappy way to become champ.
A right hand can take you round the block, A jab round the world.

So you think any self respecting fighter should refuse to fight for a world title unless they can get a world title shot at a p4p and future hall of famer star then?

Interesting logic you have there my friend.
