To be honest I don't hate him. I don't have it in me to really hate someone, but I do have an aversion to him and all that he has come to represent.
He beat Barrera in one of the biggest farces there has been in modern boxing and that was THE fight that has stained Khan for me. No, Khan didn't make the decision, but he was at the centre of it all. The system in place was only going to allow one winner in that fight when really there was no winner. It was a con.
His association with Warren is another bone of contention. I liked Calzaghe for years, but as I learned more about boxing the more I began to see Frank Warrens stranglehold on British boxing and how Warren and the Media would conspire to make the public percieve fighters in a certain way through cloudy matchmaking and questionable reporting. Hatton left Warren through frustration, eventually Calzaghe did the same. Way too late IMO. So, my opinions of Warren are now totally cynical and I see him doing a sheltering and protection job on Khan which is just shocking considering his Olympic "heritage". I was surprised the Barrera fight happened but seeing how the win was achieved I wasn't all that shocked. Khan couldn't phyically beat any 135 belt holders so instead goes up to fight for a belt at 140 against the weakest holder despite others waiting for their shots. And now Khan is "crowned king" and all other types of absurd outpourings from a pathetic British media. You can guarantee Khan will now be looking to fight a couple of none punchers and con the public into thinking he is a champion defending his belt meaningfully. Or else he will vacate to avoid a dangerous mandatory.
Khans mouth also annoys me immensely. He says the most ridiculous things. What was it that he said about his body fat? And then he's talking about P4P titles and how he was going to knock out Barrera quite quickly etc etc.
Yawn. He's a thicko with fast hands. I find it hard to warm to people with inferior intellects and who are lacking in wit. Now James Toney might not be Einstein, but he sure is funny. Tell me a time when Khan has ever been funny and I mean funny in a way that didn't involve you thinking "What a plank!".![]()
I don't get the hate at all. Khan is only 22. Sure, he didn't really beat the most threatening jr welter champion out there but it's still a good accomplisment for his age. I say give the kid a break. Give him a chance to prove himself more.
I wish people would stop going on about his age as if that gives him some special privilege to talk like a tool pre/post fight and act like a tool when he's out.
I consider it the same crap leila ali pulled - kept talking about being the best, fighting the best, without ever doing it. But enough people buy in to it and keep the £ rolling in.
I don't know Missy. Khan has been pretty much acting humble and gracious winner with his new belt.
'Domestic Chin' made from 100% Bolton China
See i can laugh at Khan because he is indeed a plank. But i definitely don't hate him. I support him.... Just in a fucked up ''he's my mentally challenged mate, leave him alone he's alright... ain't ya Khan, you div'' kinda way![]()

Don't really hate the lad myself, per se, but I hate the people around him during his fights.
Frank Warren (the scrotum that became human) and that damn loud entourage (his family?) that you always hear during the action. Am I the only person that really gets annoyed by the screaming girl at every one of Khan's fights? Every time he gets hit, or almost gets hit, you can hear a wailing, prolonged scream coming from the audience, almost resembling what seems to be a woman giving birth to a tiger.
I hate her, whoever she is.
